New in the Zune Marketplace Week of June 21, 2011

Hello again, Zune Nation!  Here’s what’s going on for the week of June 21st – June 27th.

MUSIC

Have you listened to our EXCLUSIVE stream of the new Limp Bizkit album ‘Gold Cobra‘ yet?  It doesn’t actually come out until next Tuesday, but both yesterday and until midnight tonight you could listen to it for FREE with a Zune Pass!

Our Artist of the Week is Pitbull with his latest album, ‘Planet Pit‘.  There’s been a lot of hype over this one – do you think the new music lives up to it?

The new self-titled album from Bon Iver has song titles that refer metaphorically to locations – and was recorded in a studio they built in an old veterinarian’s office in Wisconsin!

This week 311 is ‘Trending Up’ with their new song, “Sunset in July“.  They’ll be on Jimmy Kimmel Live next week, and they’re heading out on tour with Sublime with Rome this summer – are you going to see them live?

Sorry For Party Rocking‘ is the 2nd album for the uncle and nephew team of Redfoo and SkyBlu known as LMFAO (we know you know what THAT stands for!). Have you checked it out yet?

This week’s FREE song is from Jessie & the Toy Boys – you might be seeing her and her band of mannequins open for Nicki Minaj and  Britney Spears on the Femme Fatale Tour!  Get “Push it (Dirty Freqs Dancefloor Remix)” now.

Have you downloaded the ‘Hot This Week‘ playlist yet?  Don’t miss out on all the hottest songs right now!

Simple Plan, a Canadian pop punk band from Montréal, is back with their 4th album, ‘Get Your Heart On!‘  What do you think?

Losing ‘The Big Man’ was a tough blow to the music world.  Join us in ‘Remembering Clarence Clemons’ with our playlist.

Do you know how many bands include twins as members? We know R&B group Jagged Edge does, at least!  Get their latest album, ‘The Remedy‘, out now.

Check out the Best of Movie Soundtracks and our Movie Music Collection playlist – you’ll get some of the best movie music throughout the decades!

Bringing about the ‘Alpocalypse‘, it’s Weird Al Yankovic with his latest album!  Get it and be ready for all new laughs from the pop music satirist – including that new Lady Gaga song that nearly didn’t happen.

This week on ‘5 Minutes with Fame‘, we’ve got South African rockers Seether, and you can watch it FREE with your Zune Pass!

Other new releases to check out this week: ‘The Light of the Sun‘ from Jill Scott, ‘Modern Love‘ from Matt Nathanson, and ‘GEMS: The Duets Collection‘ from Michael Bolton – fresh off his work with The Lonely Island, he’s now singing with Orianthi, Rascal Flatts, Seal and more.

VIDEO

Unknown‘ stars Liam Neeson and January Jones in a thriller about a man who wakes up from an accident to find his entire life has changed, he’s being hunted by assassins, and his own wife doesn’t even know him.

Get a FREE sneak peek of the new series from executive producer Steven Spielberg, ‘Falling Skies‘, starring Noah Wyle and Moon Bloodgood.  The aliens have come to earth… find out what happens next!

The Adjustment Bureau‘ is an action thriller about a man who sees what Fate has planned for him – and decides to fight.  It stars Matt Damon and Emily Blunt and is based on a story by Philip K. Dick, whose other stories brought us ‘Total Recall’, ‘Minority Report’ and ‘Blade Runner’.

White Collar‘, the drama about a creative con artist and an FBI agent from the USA Network, is now back with its 3rd season!  Have you kept up with this one?

And don’t forget – if you buy an awesome new Windows Phone from AT&T, you’ll get an equally awesome 3 month Zune Pass FREE!

What was your favorite new release this week?  Tell us all about it in the comments!
