Ignition sounds like an incredible opportunity for artists...

How exactly would unsigned or indie labeled artists go about being considered? I'm the Exec of Indie Music for our podcasting network, and we have a wealth of amazing indie artists in our library. Sure would love to point them towards this.

Perhaps you can point me in the proper direction?

Holy cow... Crunchgear gave props to microsoft? I remember searching the web for reviews of zunes and found 1 on crunchgear that literally without any evidence just said that the zune sucks and the ipod is better. I'm slightly afraid now as this may just be a sign of the apocolypse.

P.S. Zune Rocks! and cesar: any idea what this is all about?

Just to let you know that my zune arrived in the post this morning and I love it! It is simply brilliant and it also came with the 14 day free trial which I thought was only for the first 100,000 zunes sold? I bought the premium earphones with it too and they have great bass but feel weird in the ear. I'm probably one of only like 4 people in Ireland with a zune!

I love the outside feel of the zune and it's interface is the best I've ever come across in a portable device. The firmware updated autonatically and the software has been fine apart from having to send an error report at one stage for some reason.

I'd say a lot of people were annoyed by the way it trys to sync your entire music library straight away but I sorted it out quickly enough. Does anyone know how to make the album art less pixellated?

Also, I loved the attention to detail with the box design, it makes the opening of it feel like a special occasion.

Anyway, I love my zune!

How come i can not download some songs? It says they're unavailable such as Tool. Is this a DRM issue? I keep hearing that the zune is an entertainment device, so uhm...where's the downloadable videos on the marketplace? Thanks.

Cool development Cesar. More stuff like this. Also, please tell me you guys are looking at services like last.fm and the new development over at lala.com If you bring Zune on board with social music sites like those two, you'll get some serious music aficionado cred. Plus the social revolution will make all the more sense.
