I used the buttons back+left+enter, and now it erased all my stuffs in zune(by there it`s ok, it was what I wanted)But, now I guess was erased the firmware of the Zune hardware and it asks for a new firmware, but I don`t found it and can`t install too, and saw too much people with the same problem.

The microsoft needs to make an attitude `cause is losing very much clients from Zune.

You don`t have to leave the ald users (the 30 GB zune) just cause it is old fashion.

Please I`m and more hundread of people are waiting for an answer.

I`m thankfull for the attention.

Really, Microsoft is loosing a huge amount of customers due to its lack of Asian Language Support! I am very loyal to Microsoft and refuse to get an ipod，although I feel ashamed that my zune display all Asian characters as boxes. I mean, come on! Microsoft made windows! how hard is it to put some language packs in them?

Yap the Hebrew font is very importent most of my songs are in hebrew, and I can't tell the difrence betwin them. there should be an option to add languages or fonts

Please could you lobby within your team to get Asian language support into the next firmware update? This problem has been prevalent for a long time.

For those seeing the Zune update error code 8024402c. Go to Windows update and get it from there. I just did it and it worked fine. I think if your machine is WSUS managed it may give you this error as it add some proxy setting that the update service dose not like, i may be worng, but it worked for me after getting this error.

i just updated my software and now when i plug my zune into my computer it doesn't acknowledge that the zune is plugged in

by the way, i found this link, from where i followed all the instructions, and made my zune work for at least 20 minutes.

I had the same problems as everyone, my zune 80 one day suddenly stop working and then the firmware started to prompt that i needed to update and to recover data; after i plugged the zune, the software pop up a message that could not update my zune, then i read on the internet a lot of ways to fix this, and i uninstalled software, cleaned my hard drive, installed again software and guess what... it worked!, i was happy, but the following morning when i tried to use it, again the same thing, frozen with one song, and the inevitable reboot, wait until everything is been deleted and connect to computer.

The problem is with zune 2.3 firmware, it is not with computers, too many computers can not be damaged.

This has to do with the ZUNE.

It seems that just out of the blue music on my Zune will not play. When I go to my play list and select the first song and press play, when it starts I get this message “The item is missing or cannot be played” “error code C00D11CD” the next thing that happens is it will scroll thru the song list till it get to one that will play, which I don’t understand one bit because they are all in the same folder and are synced together. While in the software I can listen to all the songs that are supposedly missing or cannot be played, if I select the device I cannot listen to the songs thru the computer either.

One other thing I have noticed is that when I select music (ON THE Zune) and go to it the pause is selected and won’t change till it finishes scrolling thru the music to find something that will play.

I have removed and reloaded the software and reset the Zune, and now I get when I sync 52 songs are not synced. Let me know if there is any other info needed..

i have windows xp with sp2 but i tells me that i need to install some update wat i need a way to get my zune working or a link that i can download another zune installer without needing the updates

Does this solve the battery issue for the 8gb zune? Im having the same issue. I heard of a fix it im not sure if it works though, it said to drain my battery completely then charge it all the way up overnight then reset it? thank you.

Reading from all the comments about the software as well as new zune firmware 2.3, it is clear that there are LOT of problems with both of them. As I have posted earlier in this forum, I had problems with firmware 2.3 and zune customer service told me that it is a hardware failure of my zune and I need to send it to them, but I knew it is the firmware. So I downgraded and it works as a charm and still it is working except some problems related to current old firmware that I am using in it. So I really appreciate if zune customer service doesn't try to

1. evaluate our technical knowledge

2. put the blame on burnt USB ports

3. blame on operating system probems which is obviously owned by MS it self,

4. use any other method to escape

while the whole problem in their side.

I hope they are going to make things correct at least in the next versions, because I think development team has gone more than enough release cycles to catch (at least) major bugs.
