You may have seen this on Zune.net but I thought I'd highlight: some folks on the Zune team are competing in the Redbull Soapbox Derby this weekend here in sunny Seattle. Here's a concept image of the car: Apparently

re: Zune at the RedBull Soapbox Derby

Oh, I'm sure the Zune team IS working on an update. And that's fine. I just wish they'd put them out more often. I remember when I had an ipod video, the firmware was updated every couple months. My Zune is still new, and able to be taken back, and the ipod touch is looking good to me...

re: Zune at the RedBull Soapbox Derby

"Firmware, pretty please"

re: Zune at the RedBull Soapbox Derby

That's cool. I'm not a big fan of Redbull, though. I was involved with a university student council last year and we had some unpleasent experiences when Redbull tried to put on one of these races on campus without any approval and use us as cover.

And I'm with Adam. I know it's frustrating for Zune owners right now, but do you seriously think the Zune team isn't working on updates as we speak? Cesar (and the rest of the Zune team) knows how you all feel, so at least attempt to stay on topic instead of just saying "Firmware, please."

re: Zune at the RedBull Soapbox Derby

Yeah and usually after 3000 miles, the firmware needs to be changed.
