This is one of my last posts before I'm OTG . It's getting very exciting! So we went three for three with the BBQs - the one in NYC rocked. We had some amazing performances - and I got to see two of my favorite

re: Recap: NYC's Live at the BBQ

Craig, I was kind of expecting that the bands would beaming their music to the audience. But no such thing happened. It would have been cool if that happened. Again, one thing that the iPod can't currently do but the Zune can but no one fully utilizes the feature.

re: Recap: NYC's Live at the BBQ

Ian - we were under strict direction from the city to never release the location of the venue, so we went conservative and targeted vs broad in communication :)

It was half to 3/4 empty for most of the day until LL came on. Who promoted this thing??

re: Recap: NYC's Live at the BBQ

I had a friend that atended and loved the show too. Are people able to download music from the show (while at the show) and then kick in the sharing?

re: Recap: NYC's Live at the BBQ

Jaxim, Wifi sharing probably won't take off until Microsoft moves beyond local proxmity sharing and lets you send content to a online/offline buddy. Microsoft backend servers receive the content and when your friend comes online..they can opt to start receiving the content. And if they go that far, well...just go all out and add Messenger than.

re: Recap: NYC's Live at the BBQ

I got there pretty late so I was a bit disappointed in the long food line. But the music was good. For a Zune event, I thought there would be more signs advertising the Zune.

I really wish more people had their Zunes with them that night. I was expecting everyone would have their Zunes and I'd finally be able to send and receive songs/pictures with other Zuners. (Because up until now, I have not been able to use the WIFI feature since I don't know anyone else with a Zune.) All was not lost, though. I was able to send a picture from my Zune, (a picture of a NYC subway map), to one of the display Zunes in the Zune tent.
