Scott, Account Manager: Scott has been rocking out this week, with the sounds of Black Sabbath infiltrating the hallways from his office. When he hasn’t been headbanging to Sabbath, he’s been listening to Them Crooked Vultures, the rock and roll super group featuring members of Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana, and Led Zeppelin.

Tod, Director: Scott’s not the only one that’s been breaking out the classic rock hits this week, as Tod’s been giving Pink Floyd some serious attention. From Dark Side of the Moon to The Wall, you can listen to an extensive portion of Pink Floyd’s discography with your Zune Music Pass.

Brett, Content Producer: Upon the announcement of new music on the way, Brett’s been going back and reacquainting himself with his favorite experimental pop group, Animal Collective. Brett has also been listening to Danny Brown this week, the rowdy Detroit MC whose recent release XXX has made waves with it’s vivid and raw blend of hip hop.

Brett, Content Producer: One of Brett’s favorite modern singer/songwriters has a new album out with her current band this week. Jana Hunter’s Lower Dens has evolved to the layered dream-gaze force of Nootropics, coming a long way since the simple and beautiful folk songs Hunter became known for. Brett has also been digging into the back catalog of Beastie Boys in memory of Adam Yauch, who passed away this week after a battle with cancer.

Laura, Community Manager: Laura has been rocking The Lumineers, a folk-rock band out of Denver that has quickly become known for their acoustic-based Americana. Their debut self-titled LP is now available with your Zune Music Pass. Laura has also been watching and catching up with Breaking Bad, the fast-paced and highly addictive television series that you can catch every episode of on Zune Video.

Paul, Producer: Paul has been reacquainting himself with Ween, one the wilder prog-rock bands that seems to have a song for just about every genre. His favorite album is Quebec, released in 2003, but you can find all of the band’s classics with your Zune Music Pass.

Matt, Project Manager: Matt keeps telling us about a band called Of Monsters and Men, a band from Iceland with a big sound. My Head Is An Animal is their newest record, which came out this year and is available now on Zune. Matt has also been watching 30 Rock, but he was bummed to have missed last night’s live airing. It’s a good thing he can catch up with a Season Pass on Zune.

Brett, Content Producer: Brett has been, perhaps unhealthily, obsessed with California’s Death Grips, who just released their major label debut this week. The Money Store is a raucous affair, a futuristic take on punk, rap, noise, and just about everything else in between. When Brett isn’t busy thrashing to Death Grips, he’s been spinning The Avalanches‘ Since I Left You. The mysterious dance collective hasn’t released anything for 12 years, but are rumored to have something on the horizon this year.

Laura, Community Manager: Laura’s “work mix” playlist got some good use thanks to a busy week. Foster the People tops the list, with songs that are sure to keep things moving swiftly. Laura’s also been giving Lana Del Rey some regular playtime, an artist who released her debut full length earlier this year.

Brett, Content Producer: Brett’s been obsessed with the new record by White Fence, an album that was released last week but feels like it was released in 1969. Check out the vintage psych-pop from Family Perfume Vol. I.  Another band that Brett can’t get out of his head is Lungfish, one of the original punk-grunge bands from Baltimore that was released through D.C.’s infamous Dischord Records. Zune offers a wide scope of the band’s collection including Talking Songs For Walking and Pass and Stow.

Laura, Community Manager: Laura ditched her cable service and subscribed for a Season Pass of the new Mad Men season to watch on her Xbox. Her favorite wardrobe offering from this season so far was the plaid sport jackets that were worn when Don Draper headed to the suburbs this past week.

Paul, Producer: Paul has been digging one of the most hyped rappers of 2012, A$AP Rocky. “Purple Swag” has been on repeat, a choice cut from the the NYC rapper’s debut. Paul has also been rocking some Sonic Youth, in particular he’s been listening to “Incinerate”, a song from the band’s Rather Ripped album.

Matt, Project Manager: Matt has been listening to a band from his Pacific Northwest roots, The Head and The Heart. The band’s self-titled 2010 album is available on Zune. Matt’s also been watching the new season of NBC’s Community, which you can snag a Season Pass for on Zune via your Xbox.
