    The new Zuneinsider background is a picture of the crowd rocking out to Common during last week's BBQ. Download the full image here . In a related story, Zunesphere posted video of the artists' performances. And if you'd like to provide an image for the background, email me at askzune (then type the "at" symbol) microsoft.com. For me to pick it; it has to be PG, and big enough to fill the entire background on a 1280X1024 resolution monitor. Oh, and I have to like the picture.

    So you might have heard about the Summer BBQ's we're going to have in LA, Chicago, and NYC. Centering around hip hop, these BBQ's are a nod to time when this music was about community; community support and community interaction. The show will have a plethora of artists, including Common, David Banner, and more. And the event is free (you still have to buy the food). The LA registration page is live now - go sign up. Also, I'm going down to LA for the show - are any readers in the LA area? Maybe...

This is the first in a series of events the Zune team is putting on to celebrate summer, Zune, and you. And you. Yes, you too. . . .
