As it turns out, NPD is actually more accurate than folks on this blog (including me) originally thought: NPD does not report on Wal-mart or Sam's (we were right about that one). NPD *does* report on the Apple online and retail stores - since last year (we were wrong). NPD also doesn't report on Amazon (small percentage of the category; we were right about that one). Lots of commenters - in this site and others - have observed that the Zune team needs to have more advertising.
