Interesting discussions going on about DRM today. Theoretically, it seems like both Steve J and Bill G both agree that the model - at least in its existing form - needs to change. It's one thing on which both executives seem to agree. The difference seems to be in the approach. Rather than issue a manifesto/mandate, we (Microsoft) will continue with our label partners towards our long-standing vision: enabling seamless playback of content in whatever scenarios make sense for the consumer. Sooo. . . How have you beeee'eeeen? I'm back from LA. I was going to draft up a comprehensive review of our LA event, but I would instead direct you to these Zune site reactions. 'Rama , The Scene , and The Sphere all post their impressions of the LA press/industry event. I'm highlighting them in case you havent' seen them. Rama posts 15 questions to Zune answered. And the Scene posts a great video of the event. Check it out! I'm not crazy about the use of "Evan's essence" music (I keed, I keed)...

Next Thursday night (11/9), you can come to LA to check out Zune and hang out with some other folks on the Zune team. We'll also have some music there: Jason Bentley and Bitter:Sweet .
