    NPD published data again, and in the second week, Zune has dropped to the number five spot, with a 2.1% market share. Sure, it's tough to see a drop after debuting at number 2 , but this the second week of a multi-year plan, and the strategy is still the same. That means we'll have some up weeks, and we'll have some down weeks. Overall though, we're happy with how consumers are reacting to Zune. Via the San Jose Mercury News

    As Sportsunit noted , Zune has debuted in the number two spot, according to early NPD data. We're happy to see this but we know this is going to be multi-year investment. Quoting thestreet.com : For the week ended Nov. 18, Microsoft had a 9% unit share and 13% dollar share of the U.S. portable player market, while Apple had 63% unit share and 72.5% dollar share.
