I'm sure the masses can do without it for a while. People just need to learn abit of patience.

If your plan is seriously to internally develop 1 app every 2-3 months, it should at least be on time... Just my 2 cents.

Well at least you notified us and have the quality set as first priority instead of releasing a very glitchy version. It would be nice if you could tell us perhaps a feature or two it may include ;D

Was hoping we could create playlists on the fly on our zunehd devices rather than having to import them from the pc.

MS has the Facebook Silverlight app.  I have to imagine it should be easy for you guys to plug that same code onto the Zune.

Why, praytell?  Has it not been since November that this app was 'to be released'?  Is there any hope of more than just 1 app when this also comes out, or are we going to be stuck with just 17 apps and that's it?

How about more useful applications, a better browser and more games?  Facebook app would be OK, but why stop there?

The pace of app releases seems to be slow.  I hope the fb app will allow a quick insert of what I'm listening to like the twitter app.

People are creating 3rd party apps.  You can download them but it's a bit of a hassle with also having to push it through C#.  

This would be so much easier if Zune allowed 3rd party developers to integrate to Marketplace.  

Regardless Zune still kicks IPOD's a$$.  I know now cause I was given an IPOD nano and downloaded ITUNES.  What an archaic piece of crap that is.  

Finally, subscription service is still the best in the market so I'm always going to own a Zune.

Hmmm Yea We'll JUst Wait 6 Months Between Every Little App. Dont Open The App Store To 3rd Party Developers we dont want to win against apple or anything. i bet the facebook will come in the summer.......if ever. i would gladly work at microsoft on the app team after my education i dont care how long it would take for me to accept and review every app that gets sent in i would get the job done and not slack off like the current app team is doing. working on one app for about a year is sad when some captain nerd can make a simple lighter app in 3 minutes. please microsoft do something

You can make a playlist on the fly.  Make a "now playing" list, then tap and hold on "now playing" in the playlists...and it'll give the option to name your new playlist.  This has been available on the HD from day 1.

I have been loyal to the IPod for year, but I have seen how much better the Zune HD is. I have great respect for you guys but it gives me a sour taste to see that you guys are taking 2-3 months to release just ONE app…..I do hope that you guys are considering to release more than the FB app, because if you plan to stop there you will have some very angry costumers to say the least.

Really, I could careless about a facebook app. MS really needs to let 3rd parties make and sell apps. I would rather see a youtube app or better yet flash support. That was the reason I bought a Zune HD and to find out it doesn't and apple put it on there once it first was available is sad on MS side. MS really needs to step their game up itouch has been out for awhile and Zune HD is better IMO but no youtube or flash makes me regret buying the zune hd to begin with.

dont let this be all the apps you are comming out with, and i hope you come out with more stuff then just ONE app.

with as powerfull as this divice is i dont see the point in making it that way if your not going to utilize that power. even if some of the apps are priced.....thats fine just make the apps

Guys, there is already more than one app.  Look in the software catalog.  There are 3 if not 4 apps already.  Go count them

I am ready to ditch my zune hd for a ipod. I really think microsoft got a product here if they support it with regular app updates instead of maybe next month will have one app out.  I bought my zune HD in November to only see 2 app update's since then, not good.

This is kind of stupid. Most of the apps are straight out useless. There's only PGR, Audiosurf, weather, and vans skate that are useful. Checkers etc aren't even apps, they're integrated in every single device out there. If you want to integrate the app store into the windows mobile store, then tell us. FB was supposed to come out by the end of december. Which december is it exactly?

Please bring Zune HD to CANADA!! Or at the very least Podcasts!!!!

Seriously? Come on. I honestly don't care about a facebook app. How about something really useful like a PDF reader, Excel, Word or notepad, something we can use while listening to music or podcasts. I use facebook, but would much rather see other more useful things. I have been a loyal Zune user for some time and upgraded to the HD, but I think my next device will be an Itouch if we can't get these apps rolling, at least I can do more with it for around the same price. Jeez, if you are going to bill it as using apps, you should push a few out.

If you guys are holding this application release for some update, I will be so disappointed. "Ready when its ready" doesn't mean when you perceive it to coincide with your release best. How about an update on the progress? Anything? Silence? Great.
