This is amazing, thank you Zune team, I've had my Zune 30 since launch and just bought my 32GB Zune HD from bestbuy.com with in-store pick-up, I'm so excited and the purchase was easy to make due to the amazing service that you guys have given Zune owners for nearly three years.

Apparently update doesn't like to play with windows 7 beta.  Tried to update through zune software and it keep saying it can't find zune-x64.msi :(

I'm not seeing all colors available on both capacities. I see 16 GB black and 32 in the other colors. I really wanted to order a 32 GB black.

Why can't I purchase a Zune HD 32Gb in black from Zune Originals?

I'm loving all the new features in my Zune software. Even though I live in the UK and can't get a Zune, I still prefer this player to WMP.

However, I'm using Windows 7 and was disappointed that I couldn't use a Library as my monitored folder, instead I had to individually select every folder in the library. That kind of defeats the point doesn't it.

Zune 4.0 is awesome.... Smart DJ is just as good as Pandora. Awesome update.

What does the new firmware do for the zune 80?

nothing for the "Existing Zune devices"??? Really??? I don't get it...I recently said "can't wait" when new firmware was announced...I take it back.

If you are having issues getting Zune 4.0 on Win7 download the Zune 4.0 Client from here and use it to install. I had same issues on 2 machines this AM and it worked on both of them. www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

I've seen posts on other sites saying they had there players updated to software version 3.2.  Mine is showing 3.1(50). and it says it's the latest.  Will there be Player updates?

Firmware is available for legacy devices.  I got it to work by first, disconnecting the legacy Zune 120, then installing the new software, then rebooting the computer, then connecting the device  and checking for updates.  There are no changes to the functionality of the Zune device; this is merely to make it work with renting movies and other new PC software features.

finally got the software loaded (you have to start the old version and go into Settings and then software update to get it to work).  But it has been 5 hours of syncing 4000 songs and still going!  why so slow???

Why is the software still blocked on Server 2008?  Doesn't anyone on the Zune team run Server on their desktop?

The look is great! I'd love to see an option to permanently skip a track or album when on shuffle. I like to listen to my collection on shuffle but because I have a lot of audiobooks I get the book tracks mixed in with the rest.

Bummer... I hoped that I was in for some enhanced wifi capability.

Awesome update. I had no plans to purchase the Zune HD but I am now reconsidering.

Love the new software. Pre ordered an HD thinking i would have the money but some unexpected bills changed that. As I said love the software. VERY dissapointed in the update for older devices which did absolutely nothing with no features at all. But it still works how i bought it so I cant complain too much, I just feel that we were all hoping for a real update for older devices.

No movie rentals for older Zunes? Even with a firmware upgrade??? Please tell me this will be added in a later firmware update!

Well the Zune HD 32GB is sold out here in Salt Lake City Utah. Only BestBuy had it in-stores. The Zune HD 16 GB is in-stock though.

Having issues with the update, just like every other time I've tried to update my software, it always sits on 99% for hours and hours. I'd be nice if you could download just the 4.0 update for the zune software independently instead of having to download the entire thing at like 400 and some odd K, especially for people with slow connections. hopefully someone can help me out here.

We really need 64 GB Zunes. It's HD after all. And UNICODE support for the older models would be GREAT!

I really liked the device, the browser is a little weak, I know you guys can do better. You should have use Skyfire.

I think once you upgrade the browser and the app store you will see your users increase a million fold.

PLEASE, leave our playlists alone.Most of mine are now dead. It says they were auto-playlists and will not let me use them. It will not recognize songs I OWN in my collection. When I drag them to the playlist,it won't let me delete the error song.I use my playlist all the time. This is getting old. Every update messes up my music.

Face Zune hates Canadians. Why else would they continue to not give us marketplace (not even for free podcasts). Every new launch I get my hopes up for marketplace...

Sorry, but I hate the 4.0 software. You need to let me turn off all the tracking of what I'm doing with the software, or at least let me clear it like web browsers do. Some people want privacy.  I was also very disappointed to see that you are still using Monopoly money in the market place.  You are really losing a lot of sales over that.  When will you learn?

Finally got the update to work, Im loving all of the wonderful new features, but there is one thing I have issue with, where is the love for the first gen (zune 30) owners in terms of apps, only for the HD Zunes, come on now, you've been inclusive with all your other updates, throw a bone to your loyal older zune players too!!!

the new software upgrade for my Zune 120 messed up the sync.. now it never syncs correctly unless i reboot the zune. Don't know if it's the firmware or the zune software..

I absolutly love the new software. My only suggestion is the pricing scheme for TV shows. It would cost me $80 to getSeason 5 of the Office in HD! That's so expensive! I wish you could just buy the seris, much like you would be able to buy any album whole. Other than that I love everything in the softeware and hardware, great work guys!

We need the marketplace in Canada! Damn Microsoft - your zune is great, however why can't Canadians take full advantage of the entire zune experience - Start listening and maybe then you'll garner more market share. Look at Windows 7, people asked, you listened, people got. Do the same for zune already! Smarten up!

The zune hd is good and all but for the people who can't afford one and have an older zune we would of appreciated an update and some new features! But we were left in the shadows.....Microsoft should keep updating and giving new features to the older zune users

great job guys way to step it up a notch, the one thing that you guys could of done better waz to think outside the box like with an internal speakers and allowing the use of viewing videos in youtube or something. one last thing i want to mention is step it up a lot with the apps like get games and lots of stuff so we can explore the zune alot more, other than that way to go!!!

Had a Z30 since day 1.  Love it.  Love the new 4.0. I now have an HD16.  Would like to see bluetooth added.  Those damn cords get in the way.

Bought the Zune HD platinum, very limited functionality.  Does great on music but no bluetooth and crippled if no wireless networks available.  Will go back to my Nokia N97 has external speakers, bluetooth, wifi and much more.  The music experience isn't as rich or pretty but the sounds are just as good.  Keep on trying MS in another 10 years you might get it right, this could have been an awesome product from what I have seen.  Good Luck.

STILL does NOT support PlaysForSure!  If you have DVD's with digital copies and want to play them on your portable device then a ZUNE is NOT the way to go!
