The Zune platform podcast directory is continuing to gain in use and popularity and with the recent launch of the new Zune HD and a software update.  It is time for me to do an update for all podcasters on how to take advantage of this new Zune device and software as we get closer to launch.

Here are a few things that you should do as a podcast content creator to reach as many Zune podcast users as possible.

1) If your podcast is already in the directory then visit the below link and search by your podcast title to get link code and Zune icon to add a deep-link to your podcasts page in the Zune Marketplace software and to the podcasts page on our official Zune.net website at  - Click here to get the link code

2) If your podcast feed is not already in our catalog, then you can submit it to us on our web-based Zune podcast directory at http://www.zunepodcasts.com, it is a link that says “Submit a Podcast”.  You could also create a “1-Click Zune Podcast Subscription” link for your podcast feed URL by following these directions – Click here

We have also just started using a new domain name http://www.zunepodcasts.com that redirects to the front page of our web-based podcast directory.  We presently stream audio podcasts from these pages and you can subscribe to podcasts in your Zune Marketplace Software or on your Zune device through these pages as well.

Will the Zune HD/4.0 update allow for over the air/wifi podcast downloading from the device?

Thanks Rob,that saved me some time and research.  You guys were quick about getting us in the directory, thank you.

A Zune software update for all Zune´s will be so cool!!!

Will the Zune device ever see the light of day in the UK, more importantly, will the 'social' get a bit more social? I've been wanting to join the social since the original Zune, what gives?!

I'd like to second Chris' comment.  I live in Ireland, and love my Zune, but it is frustrating not to be able to join the social, or subscribe to podcasts within the Zune environment.  I realise there are good reasons for not opening up the Marketplace fully, but surely it should be possible to open up some of the functionality beyond North America.

My Podcast is listed and downloads the correct shows, but all of the information is wrong.

The Website and creator is www.slashcry.com not Podcasts from The Ethical Society of St. Louis platform addresses (funny though)

And it is a video game/technology podcast, not educational.  Also the official website is www.slashcry.com, not http://www.ethicalstl.org/

Kinda funny and not sure how this happened though (it is listed correctly in iTunes)

I submitted our podcast, do you know how long it takes to get listed?

I don't know If I said it already but ...Cool site, love the info.  I do a lot of research online on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say I'm glad I found your blog.  Thanks, :)

A definite great read....

when exactly is the facebook app for zune hd coming out

Wolfgang, I will look into your feed issue on Monday.
