We have been working hard on many fronts here in Zune HQ and one area that does not get much of the fan fare but gets us really excited is Zune integration in automotive. Back at CES we showed off a new Kenwood unit with native support for Zune, and today friend of Zune Michael Gannotti took his Zune 120 to show off native support for Zune in the new Chevy Camaro. Bumblebee just got a sweet upgrade! Keep an eye here and at your local dealerships for more Zune integration down the line.

Cool! Finally someone other than Kicker comes to the social. Can we expect a shameless Zune plug in Transformers 2? LOL

Cool to see.  And I like Kenwood car stereos.  Hopefully this unit is available as a after market upgrade for my Chevy.  Now I need a quick check around the neighborhood car audio store and a little luck to get a Zune ready integrated system.

The 3rd week into the USA launch of the Zune 80, ive had my Zune hooked up to my Clarion 935VXD....Its worked great...

I recently installed the Soundgate integration to get my Zune working in my Mustang [http://tr.im/OBMZune] but miss things like the ability to talk to it Sync style

Can't help but hope for a MS Auto aftermarket in-car solution that combines Zune, Live Maps/Sat Nav and Sync (and maybe backup camera and engine monitoring)

Zune support is good, but I would like to see a Zune-branded or Zune/somebody-good co-branded aftermarket car audio system; in other words, forget the Zune dock, do a license deal and sell for example a Kenwood Zune/Sync car stereo. FM tuner and tunes player from Zune, Sync support for hands-free operation, Kenwood audio components.

dang its about time. I hate apple products cause they are so cheap and im a big Microsoft supporter so im glad to see some more progress on this problem

this is sooo cool, is it going to be integrated into all GM vehicles eventually or just the Camaro?

Finally, a relevant post on this blog.  I don't expect much from it any more.  Too many posts about irrelevant Mixview, not enough about new technology and when you're going to fix the bugs in the Zune OS...

That's good news... I have a2010 Volvo XC-60 on order (due in July) which has USB support (native 'iToons' is touted) and it would be nice to know if this will work.  Unfortunately it says it supports up to 500 folders, my zune has more than 700...

Nice, but the post forgot to mention that 27 GM vehicles in all get Zune support in 2010. Also, Hyundai/Kia will be adding Sync for 2011, so all three, along with Ford, should become fully Zune-capable.

We need a patch from Zune so it will work with the Honda USB port that comes in their cars.  Now that would be awesome.

As much as I love my tunes on Zune, I'm not trading my iPod compatible BMW for an American POS car!

Finally I no long have to listen to my zune through an adapted cassette player!  It works for now but the quality stinks!

I have a little bit older Kenwood with Aux in and usb which was perfect for listening and charging, but this is just perfect!!!! Now if Zune can get me out of s[eeding tickets lol

YES, this is what we need.  I do NOT want to get an American Car for Sync.  Can you make something with Toyota???

I recall someone making a funny comment about the ZUNE HD or a ZUNE making a "shameless" appearance in TransFormers?! *LOL* I feel it would be really good for the ZUNE actually myself...if Bumblebee kept a Zune in his console?! Besides...the XBOX did make a quick cameo in the last TransFormers movie! Although Micheal Bay is an avid MAC user.

Sweeet! I'm glad to see stuff like this. Can't wait to get the Soundgate CORE for Zune and get that hooked up to my Sony stereo.

I think I will try to recommend this post to my friends and family, cuz it's really helpful.

Finally, I am so glad to see that I'll soon be able to use my Zunes in my vehicles, hopefully in it's native interface or something close.

The topper would be if it was integrated into the steering wheel.

Now, we need to partner with mid-level and above stereo receiver makers so the Zune can become mobile peripheral.

It kills me to see so many vendors supporting the iPod when I think the Zune could be so much more.

I would love to see this available for intergration to the 2010 Prius.

Just got my Camaro SS...sweet.  One thing.  The search by playlist function isn't working.  I can't see my playlists.  Anyone hear of a possible reason why?  Could it be that I have the first generation Zune 30gb?
