Today we leave for another South By Southwest music conference/festival in Austin, TX. For those who don’t know, SXSW is the largest new music seminar left in the country and an overall great time. This year we’re going to be extremely busy as we film new episodes for The Green Room — our original video podcast series — with some really great and interesting artists. Some of the artists are new and emerging, like Gabriella Cilmi, an amazing new singer/songwriter out of the U.K. Some of these artists are hitting their peak like pop wonders Peter, Bjorn and John, and some of the artists are legends like The New York Dolls, who impacted punk and rock like no one else.
That’s just a sneak peek of some of the artists we’re working with on The Green Room — check out zune.net/thegreenroom for more info. The new season launches on March 24th — get your backstage pass ready so that you can enjoy all access in The Green Room.
In the meantime here are some albums/songs you should check out on Zune:
Gabriella Cilmi – Lesson To Be Learned
- Gabriella’s debut album, for fans of Duffy, Adele and really good singer/songwriter stuff.
Peter, Bjorn and John – Nothing To Worry About (single)
- Another groovy number from the lads, sure to get you toe tappin’. Check the hilarious new video as well.
New York Dolls – Too Much Too Soon
- This classic proto-punk album was way ahead of its time and preceded the Sex Pistols by 3 years.
