I've been enjoying electronic music since the late 70's in various forms.  Everything from the electro/rock bands (ELP, Pink Floyd) to all electronic producers and Mixers.  One of the seminal electronic bands - perhaps THE seminal electronic band is Kraftwerk, a german group with a strong penchant for a hard electronic sound, and a reputation for an excellent stage show.

My brother and I used to sit around for hours grooving to their records (you know, the round things made of vinyl).  In any case, a few years ago Kraftwerk announced they were doing their final tour - and their final tour in the US.  My brother and I decided that we had to go - no matter what.  The nearest city to us where they were playing (only 5 dates in the US) was Detroit (we're in Rochester, NY).  We did a massive road trip, drove out there and saw the concert together.  We decided since we were travelling so far we'd live it up and stay in a nice hotel room.  Turned out we were in the same hotel as the band.  My brother got a signed program when we caught the band on their way out to the next gig in the morning.  It was truly an awesome show, and a memory that we will never forget.

My favorite house evenet that i went to was at Virgin Fest when i got to see Booka Shade and Ferry Corsten!

The Cyber Nerd

I don't know if this counts... but I saw the Future Bible Heroes in Boston in 2002-ish, and opening for them was the Aluminum Group, whom I hadn't heard of at that point.  They were great, but they did something very, very weird by 2002-standards.  The Aluminum Group was just two guys, and they had all of their music pre-recorded... on an iPod.  (This was before Zune existed, so I can't really fault them for this).  So no instruments or anything, just an iPod for their equipment, hooked up to the theater's sound system.  Both tacky, and yet, kind of cool in its own way.  The Future Bible Heroes had their actual equipment there, and mixed up acoustic and electronic stuff, so that was pretty cool.

My favorite show has to be Rubber at the Galaxy. Now this was back-in-the-days, but they had some great DJ's performing

I heard Jessica was HAWT!!!
