Mr Weather- Audible Support is out the same time. But you need the audible software for it to appear in your Zune.

awesome. I saw that the zune120gb comes with a different earbud. unfortunately that's a step in the wrong direction! and the glossy vs matte of the 80gb. matte > glossy. time to look for another 80gb =\

Zune pass is so amazing, surprised it took 3.0 to get some people to see the light.

As far as _music_ features go, the Zune wins all and Zune pass is its killer app.

i was gunna sleep but i think refreshing zune.net sounds much more fun. i love zune. thank you guys for giving all the features to everyone and not making us buy the new one-thats why ill always be a zune fan

zune.net isn't up yet, but 3.0 is installing via the software updater. Looks like the west coasters trying to update before leaving for the morning are in luck.

Update downloaded and installed, but can't sign in: attempting to accept the new terms of service takes me to a url that is titled "Page Unavailable".... :(

7:14am EDT....3.0 updated through the Zune software, not the Zune.net site...still can't logon yet....

Zune terms of service page is down.

Updated my software and Zune around 6:10 AM EST today. Site is up, but, I can't log into my pass. It tells me I have to accept the new terms of service, but I can't login into the site. Can't wait.

I have updated everything.  But I noticed my Zune will NOT connect to my home wireless network UNLESS I enable SSID broadcast.  My Zune prompts me for my network password but never for the SSID name.

hey everybody, I spoke to our release manager and have a quick update: we're online, and we're working through the issues around Picks right now!

Downloaded and everything is gradually coming online....any idea where mixview is on the main screen? Can see it on Now Playing. Also no graphics for the band on Now Playing...not sure what I'm missing

Totally disappointed.

Lovin' in so far. I am pleasantly surprised at the overall performance improvements. Everything from scrolling to load times is as fast as you could want now!

I'm just hoping the Picks feature becomes more refined as time goes on. It seems like it just listed a bunch of popular music. Like Gwen Stefani and Justin Timberlake which I don't like.

where's the zune clock??

Still no Marketplace or firmware update for me. :(  Not sure why.

I stand corrected... everything is working now.  Awesome.

The software updated fine works great so far. I love the new Social page though. It looks pretty sick. As for the device, well I'll see how it works at school when I take some time to use it.

The clock is turned on under "Settings"

Zune clock is off by default, goto settings on the Zune, and then Clock ;)

I see the podcast bug (same episodes display multiple times) was not fixed.

Zune team should be really proud of what they accomplished this year.  Lets be honest, until now you've played catch up in many regards and had to reinvent your own software once.  You've proven you can work under a crunch..now its full speed ahead...

- Launch Zune/MarketPlace in other markets

- Windows Mobile

- Hardware lineup revision

- Finalize MP3 transision

- New capabilities that take advantage of direct internet connectivity.  Download latest podcasts, Share Photos, etc...

- Game MarketPlace (if you decide to do that).  My suggestion is to support Popfly.com games on Zune.

- Movies MarketPlace

- More connected entertainment options between other entertainment platforms

- Start thinking how Live Mesh might be utilized to support new Zune functionality.

2009 looks to be another pivotal year!

Good job! Love all the new features but now I'm late for work because I've been playing with it too much. I put 3.0 on a Zune 30 and recently purchased the Zune Pass in prep for the  updates. Course, I will need to upgrade to the 120, now. The cool thing is I can give the updated 30 to my son and he'll have all the same new features.

Are there still issues with the Zune Social? My profile isn't updating any plays from the Zune software or my Zune device.

Anybody know if the new update fixes the difference in sorting by disc number between the device and the software?

I have to tell you Zune Team you guys have hit the nail on the head. This is the best update so far, this is the way music and my Zune are supposed to be. Great Job Zune Team

2009: The year the iPod officially got stale. This update pwns iPod+iTunes so much, it's not even funny. Zune has become everything the iPod ORIGINALLY set out to be but no longer is... clean, attractive, and fun.

zune 3.0 really is incredible. my biggest complaint about 2.0/2.5 was that it was too hard to find new content within the software. i will never again complain about this.. i am so very impressed and thankful for the great work that was done in this update. thanks for continuing to increase the value and not abandoning those of us who have been customers since day 1.

Aargh, no longer supports Windows Server-2008 x64, so I can't update my previous 2.5 install (which did support Server 2008).

No where prior to purchase does it say that the Zune is not compatible with XP64.  There is a download for Vista64 after trying to install on XP64, but this dose not work on XP either.  MS drops the ball again.
