Podcasting guru Rob Greenlee and I will be producing a weekly audio and video podcast, where we’ll cover everything Zune: software, devices, cool content in marketplace, accessories, events and more. Have a listen to the first episode by subscribing in Zune Marketplace, or you can just download the MP3 from here.

Here is the direct RSS feed link: http://zuneinsider.feeds.zune.net/rss

And of course, here's the deeplink to Zune Marketplace:

If you have ideas for topics to cover, or people to talk to, whether in the blog or in the podcast, drop a comment!

This is the best thing to happen to the Zune Platform in quite some time. Can't wait to listen.... Much props!!!

Forgot to mention, besides J of course, I'd love the podcasts to, at some point, include interviews from the programmers that actually create the zune PC program and device software.  That'd be cool for sure.  And, even the people who design and mold the experiences around the zune, including overall styling, functionality of devices, etc.

wow...the missing guy returned.

Welcome back, Mr. Greenlee

Well, nice to see the zune team is doing something... Hopefully they're will be news on zune 3 in this podcast eventually, you really can't leave your fan base in the dark all the time.

Real nice update.  I can never get enough info.  You seem to have left off a real cool zune kid, zunited.net.

Looking forwars to giving this a listen but I just thought I'd give you a heads up that the Album Art for this podcast doesn't seem to be formatted right for the player.  It's pixelated and blury.  I imagine you guys of all podcasters would want that to look nice on the player.

Wow great job guys!

i had been hoping you would do something like this!

cannot wait for more and for video podcasts

Microsoft's Cesar Menendez and Rob Greenlee have started a new Zune podcast that might be of interest

Excellent, it launches right into Quicktime player.

Pat - just curious, do you have the Zune software installed on your machine? B/c if you do you can change the default player in the settings!

Pat, handy tip. Right click on any file type (MP3, WMA, etc.) and go 'Open With'. Instead of selecting whatever program you prefer, you can choose 'Choose Default Program' so that your prefered player, like Zune, will always be the one to open that kind of file.

Thanks for the podcast. Could you possibly fix the audio file? Most of the tags are missing. The Zune software needs the GENRE to be set to PODCAST or it won't find it and download it. Thanks!

when is the second one coming out?
