All clear, folks. Again, my apologies for the emergency maintenance that caused us to have to take sign-in down for part of this afternoon. You are able to sign in to the Zune software, Marketplace, and Zune Social now.

Is this related to the FREE THREE WEEKLY email? I noticed that the Johnny Cash song mentioned is not showing up as free for me.

There is also no contact in that email so I really wouldn't know who to contact.

Thanks. I noticed that my Zune Card on my Windows Live Space frequently shows "service is currently unavailable."  Just curious if there isn't something I need to do.

Does anyone know if you can link individual photos to individual songs, so that the photo appears each time the song is played? It appears easy to link a photo to an album, but I'd like to do it to individual songs as well.

Help. Please help. My Zune is dead. Frozen at the main menu.

8gb Zune 2.0 about 4 months old. No problems before. Worked fine yesterday morning.

Play button turns on and off the screen but nothing else. Back button causes "music" (top entry in the main menu) to flicker slightly but nothing else.

Back button+top pad = No effect

Back button+bottom pad = No effect

Back button+Play button+top, bottom, middle, left or right pad = No effect

(have held down all button+pad combinations for many minutes)

Lock button=appears to work, and makes the lock icon appear and disappear

Plugging in to power (computer) = Zune software shows device connected. Able to sync device. Able to upload music.

Battery almost full.

Latest software installed on computer and device.

I am casting my net far and wide because I AM DESPERATE. So please direct me to anyone who could possibly help.

Bangalore says they are sending me a box. I must send my Zune back and they will repair or replace. I will have no music for 20 DAYS and there is NO GUARANTEE of getting my same color (red) back!!!

This sucks so bad I am in a deep depression and can't even work.

Someone please help me.

@Theano -

Try letting your battery drain out on your Zune. Then charge it back up and see if the buttons start to work again.

And might I add, please post in the Zune forums. Your question can get answered much faster that way :-)

Thanks, I will try that next. They say if you put it in the freezer it will drain quicker. Next to putting it in the blender that seems like a good idea.

I did, Marques. And you answered me there... with the url of the flippin kb article. Which I answered at length having tried all that, over and over. Can you zune people tell me what bldg. you are in so I can come over personally with my zune and you can fix it for me? instead of putting it on the slow boat to china? i tell you i cannot work, in fact i'm spending tomorrow shuttling over to a different campus, where my friend is lending me her zune which she has never used, smart girl. would be glad to stop by zune headquarters with my oh so dead device. still faithfully showing the same old screen. but the battery is yes slowly dying.

Did something happen to New Music Tuesday this week?  I'm still seeing last weeks main page.
