Check this video about Friday's launch in Canada:
In addition to the new Canadian artists in Zune Originals, now you can buy Zune accessories via Zune Originals - check it out!
Nice vid. That is great info.
Still waiting for the zune to be released in Holland.... Just like one year back... I know there are loads of people here who want to buy one. I left a reaction on zuneboards in dutch (national language in Holland) and of the 11 reactions something like 4 were in dutch... Also loads of people i talk to here really like it and want it too but have to buy it through ebay... Still no international launch date?
do what i did...i bought one from the usa and had my brother in law ship it to me....an orginal custom made for me aswell...
Wow you guys outdid yourselves with this launch huh? Do you work for marketing for Zune Canada also? Or do they have their own marketing team up there?
I got mine on the first day. The lady in the local HMV wasn't even sure if they had them in, since they were only released on the Friday.
I've been in again to that same store and I'm sad to say that it doesn't look like they've shifted a lot of them, if any (apart from mine, obviously).
It's sad that it's not selling well, I hope that once the Marketplace is launched up here people will see the awesome benefit of the Zune Pass. I sure can't wait for it!!!
Just one question, what's the worst thing that can arise out of making the zune originals site accessible to people outside the US?
I have to keep using google just to find sites with some pictures and stuff.
Bought the Zune at Futureshop in Canada. Does anyone know when the Marketplace will be available? Can't wait. Love my Zune.
Hello.
I am one of the lucky Canadian who received a Zune for review by Microsoft.
I played with it for two weeks and now you can read my full review of the Microsoft Zune 8Gb here:

Bought my Zune 4 at Best Buy Ottawa East on Friday. I knew that a 4 would be sufficient for me as I listen mostly to podcasts in the car on the way to work in the morning and the evening and the 8gb of space on my iPod nano was hardly used.
I also run Vista Media Center as a PRV and the seamless conversion and sync of TV is fantastic.
My I get the fantastic Zune 4, my wife gets the Nano, I'm free of the evil that is iTunes and everyone is happy!
Internation launch? international problems.
I have heard the strategy behind not releasing zune everywhere until its fully ready (got local artist, local advertising, local marketplace....)
However, preventing or making it extremly hard for international use is out of line. I bought a zune for friend in venezuela (dec 08) and had problems registering the zune. Zune requires registration prior use, and the IE browser and zune site wouldn't allow my friend or me to register it (due to the location). Felt like the gift, which i was so excited, was useless. thanksfully using firefox there was a work around.
One question when is the Marketplace gonna open up to us Canadians?
Big day for Zune and Xbox fans…and anyone else out there still trying to decide if they should get a Zune...
