Thanks to Adam at 'Thoughts for finding and posting a great list of Zune Tips - 10 of them:

 1. Store content on Zune but not on PC
 2. Drag and drop from explorer to Collection
 3. Copy by Playlist
 4. Import playlist
 5. View your playcount
 6. Shuffle...then shuffle more...
 7. Zoom for that closeup
 8. Use quicklist to repeat a single song
 9. RDS and the FM Radio
 10. Find location of file

still waiting on my red zune 80...I must say this is a little ridiculous, I ordered mine the first day they were available and it hasn't been shipped yet.

11. I am a silly troll.

Its abit premature but I hope the Zune team starts to think about how a Microsoft purchase of Yahoo would impact Zune. With Yahoo Music/Sansa...perhaps this will revive PlayForSure for Zune? Obviously something needs to be done.

Those are nice but the best the best tips/tricks feature that I've seen posted so far are by 'bfreeburn' that provide a simple way to sort your playlist by title, album, or artist. You can find it here.

I had actually used the import trick so that I could do the playlist manipulation in WMP but that meant maintaining the playlist in WMP and then deleting and re-adding in the Zune Software each time I wanted to make a change. This is a little easier.

My PC that had my Zune library etc has crashed... Ive got a new PC but want to keep my old playlist (as this wasnt backedup from the crashed PC)... how do you Export a Playlist from a Zune? Anyhelp much'o appreciated...

how do you place podcasts into a playlist?

I would love if Microsoft would allow Media Monkey to sync. It is a far better program than Zune, ITunes, WMP

Thanks for this list, but is there a way to make a Video Playlist? I would like to list multiple music videos together, then play that list without having to manually start each video.

the playlist manipulation in WMP but that meant maintaining the playlist in WMP and then deleting and re-adding in the Zune Software each time I wanted to make a change.

I have the same problem as Andrew - I need to export playlists from the Zune Device back into collection....why is this so difficult or impossible?

Solution:

1. Create a new playlist in desired software

2. Open both new and old playlists in Notepad.

3. Control-C the code from the old playlist into the proper spot.

4. Save

5. Get the new software to recognize the playlist, it should play just fine

Why-oh-why doesn't Zune allow to create a playlist of podcasts. This is such a basic feature. Worse, Xbox don't recognize podcasts in my collection, so I cannot listen to my podcasts through my home theater. This is such a simple, yet useful addition.
