The red looks KILLER; right now I’m in the process of working on my own etching design for when I finally order a zune80, any news if this will be sold without the valentines artwork, also when you order from zune originals, is it possible to order a blank zune?

Can someone find out for me, I don’t have access to zune originals site; it’s not available in Canada? Thx

Hey Cesar -- when is MS going to announce support for Amazon Unbox?  I can't believe I gave up a perfectly usable Creative Zen (Amazon compatible) for a Zune that can't download a single video from Unbox.  Embrace Amazon NOW.  They're a viable alterntive to Itunes, something we've all been waiting for, yet MS is leaving Zune owners out in the cold.  Oh yeah, and after Amazon support, settle with Audible.  You're killing your player.

How 'bout a green Zune 80 when St. Patrick's Day comes around? Along with cloverleaf-inspired tattoos!

Hopefully we're going to hear some content announcements soon.  Apple just announced that movies are available in iTunes.  At CES, I was hoping we would hear some news about XBox Live MarketPlace and Zune MarketPlace being integrated and accessible from XBox/Zune/Media Center platforms. Zune needs to get on the ball with content variety and integration.

DouglasLive, I don't think Microsoft is going to support Amazon Unbox.  First, Microsoft already has its own partnerships and sells video via XBox Marketplace...so thats a likely source of content.  Secondly, Apple just announced they are offering Amazon UnBox content through their AppleTV product.  Microsoft is not likely to get favorable terms consider the Apple/Amazon relationship.  I frankly want to see Microsoft, NetFlix and/or BlockBuster get together and compete.  This content should be available no matter which platform you are using, Zune, XBox and/or Media Center.  I agree with you, Microsoft needs to figure something out on the Audiobook content front too.

Apple's movie rental has nothing to do with Unbox.  Apple made deals with all of the movie studios independently to rent movies,

The red looks really sharp. It's not any more Mac compatible, which is a deal breaker for me, but it sure is nicer than the current iPod Lipstick Red.

I like my old orange iPod Shuffle, if they can cook up an orange Zune before my Shuffle dies, I'd buy that. Oh, and Mac compatible, of course.

Amazon has always had ties with Microsoft. A9 (the parent company) uses Live Search. Live Spaces has modules that pull up product images and links directly to Amazon's site. I'd hardly call that hate for each other. Amazon is just simply making deals.

And since Netflix is on Microsoft's BOD, then I agree, it shouldn't be that hard to allow Netflix rentals straight from XLVM, or ZuneM.

And lastly, I also agree Microsoft has that dumb issue of putting out different brands of products, but not integrating them well with one another. You should be able to purchase the same media from Zune Marketplace as you can from Xbox Live Marketplace (well except games), and vice versa. Mash the two together and that would be wonderful.

While I agree with most of your comment, Apple's new movie rentals through iTunes have *nothing* to do with Amazon or Amazon Unbox. They are similar services, but completely unrelated.

To put it more simply, there is no media relationship whatsoever (for music, movies, or TV shows) between Apple and Amazon.

But that's probably irrelevant, because I agree with you that it's much more likely that the Zune would pick up compatible video content from the XBox Marketplace or Media Center.

Movies have been available for purchase on iTunes for a long time now. Yesterday, Apple added a *rental* option, but movies & TV shows for purchase have been a staple of iTunes since October 12, 2005.

I'd buy a Zune 80 but i already have 2 iPods, so its like a waste of money... But when they break you know i'll get one.

I found a spoof on the Valentine Zune at a site call iPhone Savior, some are actually pretty funny. I think the Red is much cooler than black too. How can I return it?

I'd wanted one of the originals, but because of some Credit card issues, I was forced to go with the "normal" one. So you will forgive me for not exactly leaping at this bit of news.
