The Black Dahlia Murder (and Zune)

Ok, metalheads (you know who you are), this blog post is for you.

Metal Blade Records act, The Black Dahlia Murder is both the Zune Ignition artist and On the Road artist for the month of January.

Zune Marketplace is offering a few cool thing from the band: a Zune Freebie, “What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse” starting today (January 8) to January 14; a track-by-track Breakdown of the album from January 15-January 21, and the band’s personal Guestlist from January 22-January 28.

In addition, Xbox Live currently features exclusive video of a BDM fan autograph session at last year’s Summer Breeze Open Air Festival in Germany and a free video download of “What A Horrible Night to Have a Curse.”  MSN is also streaming the video for the same track. One of the most influential artists in death metal is supporting their album, Nocturnal.

They're also on the road - check the video for info.

Neat! You guys need to do this with more artists. And get some exclusive tracks on Marketplace.

Hey Cesar, thanks for all the updates... I've been getting my Zune info-fix here for a while now, but I still haven't been able to decide between buying an iPod or a Zune.

Since the beginning I've avoided Apple because of its proprietorial tendencies (toward Apple stuff), and since I use and like the MS software and products more, I was excited about the new Zune.  I thought the new Zune would play well with all the other MS stuff, but right now the only cool connection is to the Xbox (which I don't have).  Basically, what I'm asking... can you give me a hint or two at any Zune updates that are coming and would help me decide on the Zune.

Thanks!

Cesar Menendez

CR - sorry man, but we're not talking about future stuff right now.

I can tell you that the new zune will import content recorded from vista media center, and you can plug your zune into your xbox 360 to play the music, or you can wirelessly stream your music from your zune software to your xbox 360.

Cesar-

OK. Thanks, also for the Robbie Bach vid. Cool stuff.
