The Zune 2's 1st month birthday is nearly here. Is the Zune team going to be issuing a new software/firmware point version soon? :-)

Someone should tell them that the Zune 80 is only $249.99 and not $299.99.

Go Zune!  But they got the price wrong, the Zune is $249 and you can get it off amazon for $239.  So the Zune basically has the ipod beat in every category now. :)

Why do they have the Zune listed as being just a slight bit more expensive ($299)?

sorry for the caps but it is true.  you told us over and over that you weren't trying to compete with the ipod, now countless people who work on the zune are saying that thy are competing with apple.

my weekend wasn't great.. I had to study for my finals, (one was my english exam;), then I think it would be better because my uncle went to the US, but he couldn't find my aunt with my Z80, so I was sad.. but today is a better day, I finished my exams(vacacions:), I finally got a Car (a 97' Grand Cherokee) and another aunt went to the US and possibly is going to see my aunt :)

I voted Zune. Zune is winning by 27% which is awesome. Yeah, they need to change the $299 pricing, but it does show that they still prefer the Zune 80 over the 80GB iPod Classic even if it was more expensive.

IPOD'S SUCK ZUNE'S TEAR IT UP ITS THE ZUNELU NATION UP IN HERE LOL.

zune.net is a ghost town as far as getting help is concerned.  Mods don't respond or care to give any feedback on the issues we are facing.  Moreover, customer support has been less than helpful on a number of issues.  Cesar, I'm wondering where exactly do I find help for the number of issues that I'm having.  I can't help but feel ignored after spending 250 for my zune 80 and paying 15 a month for over a year now. Heck, I have to be one of the first 5 or so posters on this site.  I don't think that's right.  

The latest problem I'm having is with ratings entered on my device not syncing back to the pc/software.  This makes the already limited playlist creation functionality of the software almost useless.  So, all of these "heart" ratings are stuck on my device and I can't get them onto the PC.  I hardly ever rate music directly from the PC so the ratings system is essentially broken for me.  What do I do?  I never had this issue with either the zune 30 or the old software so I'm guessing it's a rather nasty glitch that you guys may or may not be aware of.

I guess they got their pricing on Ebay a few weeks ago.... idiots...

i would way rather have an i pod with manual sync the the zune 2.0 software that deletes everything not on your computer.  i have a 30 gig hard drive and an 80 gig zune.  so basically i have no way of using 50 gigs of my device.  

ipods are looking pretty nice right now.

The Zune may be better functionality wise to the Ipod but I'm not sure build wise. My first Zune 80 had a crooked squircle- the outside metal ring wasn't aligned properly and now my second Zune 80 has one button (the play/pause one) more recessed then the other button and the metal piece in the middle top of the player is loose. Are these QA problems being addressed? My Zune 30 is such a solid and quality player I'm a little hesitant selling it and keeping a Zune 80 now. I'm not quite sure I have any confidence in the durablilty of the Z80 right now.  I'm very disappointed because my experience with the Z30 for the last year has been fantastic. Is Microsoft looking into these issues?

So I saw this (http://www.iwantapinkzune.com/?p=379)  awesome zune with the binary numbers and I was wondering who they were given to and if a cool design like that will every make it to Zune Originals

It's nice to see some of the gadget blogs getting over their Apple blinders and seeing that the Zune really is the better device.  I've been keeping up with Wired's Gadget Lab for a few months now and some of them have really done an about-face since the Zune 2.  There was even one cute post about a writer feeling like he was being rebellious for loving his discount Zune 1 so much.  They haven't totally gotten over Apple - or probably more accurately some of their writers have and some haven't - but they've made progress.

If only Ars Technica would follow their gadget blog would be readable again...

Nope. They don't work with Macs either, nor are they intended for people who live in one of the many countries that is not the USA.

MS has decided to limit their market. I have no intention of becoming either an American OR a PC user, so while there might be a Zune in my future, it's an iPod for me until these limitations are addressed.
