Cesar, can you comment on Zune 80 availability?

Both zune enthusiasts and the zune team have the same common goal: we both love the zune and wish to make it a great device that will take a large marketshare from Apple.

Did you guys ever stop to think that many people probably never used autoplaylists because it was not designed well in the first version? I don't think many people knew such a feature existed.

If you took a poll among the people who knew of such a feature I am sure the % of people who use it would have gone up quite a lot.

I am not upgrading until something will be done about it. I am not going to lose months of hardwork rating, tagging my music.

so....Zuneinsider goes the way of the dodo ?

How is that rumor or speculation? A simple, "Yes, they are available." or "No, they've been pushed back to December." It looks like they're impossible to find in stores, and stock shows December in most online stores including their own Zuneoriginals.com.

This has nothing to do with rumor and speculation.  Microsoft simply promised a product available at various stores on November 13th, and none of the stores (at least in my area) have them available, or know anything about them.  Some didn't even have new displays to put up yet.

As a music pastor I was planning on using the Zune 80 this weekend during extensive travels to plan for some upcoming ministry events.  I needed an MP3 player to help out with such things during travel, and with the promised November release date, I decided to wait until the 13th.  Well, I think I can wait no longer.

Don't get me wrong, I believe MS released a terrific product.  But since I'm unable to purchase one when needed (and when they stated the product would be available), it seems that I'll have to find another MP3 player to suit my needs.

Sorry MS...unless somebody would miraculously have one available within the next 24 hours, I'm going to have to purchase from another company.

Yes, please comment on the Zune 80 availability. I live in the 4th largest city in the USA and can't find on Zune 80. The salespeople are puzzled too. They don't have any scheduled shpments listed(Heck some of them don't even know about the Zune 80).

THese are my fruitless searches:

Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, & Office Depot.

Anyone?

Try Circuit City it seems that they carry them, I just got my 80gb from there.

I heard Office Depot isn't going to carry them.

Gamestop have those Zune 80. or get a Zune 4/8. better yet...two Zune 30.

Cesar, the forums are taking off fast. There is a good thread about folks not being able to buy the 80. I know have bought 2 at Circuit City and 4 flash players at Wal Mart... I know they are out there and have a hard time believing that there is a shortage. :)

I live in LA and was looking everywhere for an 80GB.  I found one on circuitcity.com and they had some available for in-store pick up.  Just got back... the 80gb is SWEET!

I can't search by genre.  I think the new software is pretty nice, but not being able to aggregate all my albums by genre is no good.  Help me out.
