Obligatory "does the new Zune support gapless?" question.

Here's another vote for Chicago. I've taken public transportation (along w/a couple hundred thousand of your target demo) almost every day since the launch and I haven't seen a single Zune there, on the street or anywhere else. I have literally never seen a Zune here in the city -- other than my own.

LA may have us beat when it comes to population, but we have a much higher population _density_. Obviously, this should mean many more eyes on each Zune, especially considering LA's car culture.

I live in Chicago too and ride the CTA daily.  I have seen around a half dozen Zune's or so, more in the last 6 months than after launch.  Even had a guy sit next to me one day with one and /gasp the wireless was turned on.

Why don't you come to Milwaukee? I good friend of mine can get us access to the Milwaukee Mile Race track www.milwaukeemile.com . We could take turns driving the Zune Bus around the track. I bet we could get that bad boy up to 70 or 80 MPH. Or we could rent some golf carts and have golf cart races for cool Zune prizes.

What do you ride? I'm currently on the 8 every day from its first stop in Wrigleyville to the West Loop. I also take the red line from Addison to/from the loop pretty often; sometimes even up to Uptown. Before that, I was on the 22 and/or 36 every day, plus the brown line from Lincoln Park to the Loop. PLENTY of college folk.

Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. :)

Cesar, Acknowledging the obvious that LA and NYC are no brainers and Seattle has the MS connection sorta. What is the thinking for Minn. over Chicago, Boston San Fran. etc.? The reason I ask is I am curious whether there is a demographic component you are trying to corral, or is it based on areas with a high penetration of v1 Zunes?
