Firmware update... PLEASE!

This is really frustrating. I'm a loyal xbox fan and I have been waiting patiently for information on the new Zune.  I'm like form factor but it's not my highest priority when selecting a media player.  My priority is functionality.  And no offense intended to the author, but we haven't heard a scrap of info on any new features in the zune v2.  If I could ask two binary questions - Will the new zune include software/firmware features that were not included in zune v1?

If yes, were those features listed as high priority updates by average zune users?

These seem like pretty benign questions, but an answer would do a lot to convince me to continue waiting for v2.

I keep telling you, you are never gonna beat me, once I passed you I didn't stop. =P

I have a prediction, though its JUST a prediction.

I think the Zune 1.0 firmware will definitely be upgraded to share files wirelessly with the computer... etc. Proof? If you have seen the Microsoft Surface demonstration, it shows a person putting the zune onto the microsoft surface, which then pairs through wifi with the Surface computer,  and shows pictures, music and video stored on the zune onto the Surface.

What do you think of the Virgin music store closure?  It seems that yet another Microsoft PlayForSure partner is going down the tubes.  Does this negatively reflect on Microsoft's efforts and technology?  Shouldn't Zune be the first to the rescue and offer Virgin customers a way to convert their tracks to Zune without losing their previous investment?  Thanks

Several months ago I heard that Zune was looking to partner to deliver kiosk type solutions (coffee shops, airport lobbies, restaurants, etc).  Why haven't we heard more about this?  Apple has partnered with StarBucks and they are just days away from kicking off a 50 million song giveaway in hopes of promoting this service.
