Is it still Friday somewhere? Probably not; my bad. But New Music Saturday Friday lives on. Ready for more free music for your Zune? Okletsgo:
- First up, Aquarium Drunkard has a couple of Thurston Moore tracks.
- Stereogum has a great premiere this week: soul singer Bettye LaVette featuring Drive By Truckers.
- Moving onto some indie hip hop, Arjan Writes this week has a new single from Lady Tigra.
- Check out this John Vanderslice track, over at Chromewaves.
- Ooh, this right here is sweet: you know how I love covers? You Ain't No Picasso has The Decemberists covering Kate Bush, Bishop Allen covering Cash, and David Bowie covering The Beatles.
- Not that this year is over, but our buddy Jax has her 10 favorite tracks, in MP3 format.
- Shoutout to readers in Cleveland! I Rock Cleveland has a Wolf Parade side project track.
- Gorilla vs Bear has two tracks from M.I.A., on KCRW
- Moving on to some more hip hop, check this mixtape over at 'Different Kitchen
- Fluxblog this week has an Interpol track, as well as goofy Superthriller track.
- And closing out this week's selection of free music for your Zune: Music for Robots has a track from Bottom of the Hudson.
A big thanks and high-five to readers for all the kind words and comments in Thursday's post. Ok, I'm off to the BBQ, hope you all are having a great weekend!
