Welcome, dear blog reader, to another edition of New Music Friday (which is generally my most widely read post). You know how this works: clickthrough to the links and download the free music. Sync to your Zune, and off you go.

Ok, enjoy the free music and have a safe weekend everybody!

HEy Thanks for the Music!

The 1990s are great! I don't know so much about the decade, but the band definitely rocks. I hadn't heard of them until recently. I wonder how the name came about.

Love the Aesop Rock... Always!

Kim Hiorthoy? Wow, that's nice! Never heard of him before! Love it!

Thanks!

Thank you Ceaser, you've turned me on to quite a few bands through these postings.  New Music is one of the things the Zune is all about to me

How about an Elvis Zune? A little study shows that majority of Elvis fans would buy it - http://www.tcb-world.com/showthread.php?t=13746

When are we getting "Chocolate Rain" by Tay Zonday on ZMarketplace? Include the Ressy D remix, and "Demons on the Dance floor." :)

Man I cant stream music for some reason. I click the links and it just says "IE cannot display the page"

So frustrating to the point where I dont do this anymore ;_;

@ Most Awesome(Eddie) Have you ever tried Firefox?

All the pages work for me on that. You might want to give it a try.

Hey Cesar I know that this isn't the best place to post this but I was wondering is the Zune software will have a start bar mini player thing like the WMP11 does when you minimize it.

Hope your weekend was "Awesomer."

hi, i have a question about the zune, i want to listen the music i have on  my zune but in my PC (with zune program) because i cant... i select the song i wanna listen but nothing happens... plz i need help, because i want to liberate space of my hard drive :D

someone help me plz!!!

Cesar - Maybe you can address this comment regarding Zune, from the new Goldman analyst covering MSFT (see: http://blog.seattletimes.nwsource.com/brierdudley/2007/07/sarah_friar_on_zune_xbox_vista_1.html)

Q: Should they be chasing Apple with the Zune?

A: Zune is tougher for me. They haven't really shown their hand yet about what they could really do with it. It's not really a front I particularly want them to open. I'd prefer them to concentrate on things like online services.

I don't think they're even that super committed to it right now. Maybe they thought it was a good idea, but for now I don't see it as a core focus at all.

Gene, I think Microsoft *is* focused on expanding/developing online services.  There isn't a day that goes by when we don't hear the word "Live" this or "Live" that.  Zune is part of that and I have no doubts they will continue to integrate Live into the Zune experience.  From an investor standpoint, I would want the company to have more sticky things..that later can be tapped to generate ad revenue.

You can connect your Zune via a 3.5mm stereo cable to your Desktops's line in. Or if your on your laptop, plug it in (unless u have a line in) your mic jack (but it might be mono).

Then of course control the music with your Zune.

Cesar, I know there are laws out there regarding stripping DRM from digital content.  But I was wondering if a company wanted to offer a service to switch digital content from one DRM system to another if there were any laws against doing that..especially if you have approval from the studios.  Or is the distribution system forever tied to the digital content?  Thanks
