All Zune boxes should be designed with some kind of Artwork like that. Specific to each color.

Really set them apart. I know Boxart may be a small thing, but I'm loving the Halo 3 Zune Box.

Makes me want to get one just to own that :).

The box looks great, but the Zune looks a little too modest. No way should the box outshine the product. Offer more than one type of artwork on the Zune. Maybe have fans customize their own Halo3 Zune with a list of different artwork. Your target are mainly Halo fans correct?

How did you open the box so well to?  I was so energentic when I got my Zune, I bassically ripped the box (the stupid tape woundn't come off) then let it all poor out on my lap.

Really good, I would sell my zune for one of this, but don't you think it would be better in Master Chief Green armor? with the lines with the yellow visor from the helmet, that would be sweet, but this one is cool.

hell i want this just for the exclusive red vs blue episode it comes with but aside from that,the artwork is awesome, the box is amazing. and even though i'll have to wait till the vista version of Halo 3 or till i get a 360 to finish the fight. i'm gonna be waiting outside gamestop to pick this bad boy up.

I agree with Daveworld....the design on the box should probably have gone on the Zune itself.

I agree with the others, the box looks awesome. Props to the design team. But the Zune itself could use a little umff. Possible Halo color Red and Blue and make the rank a little bigger, everyone would love to have the chiefmaster ensigna to brag about. Possible other designs...Juggernot and Halo logo. Also possible white on black/various colors design and black on white/various colors. Or how about halo related sounds for the menu selection(ie: scrolling and enter). Man I could think of a dozen things. Hey you got room on your marketing team for one more. :P

I just found out about this Zune so sorry if I'm being lame... are the graphics painted on top of the plastic or under the clear coating?  I'm wondering if they could wear off or if there's *no possibility* because they're under the plastic.

Awesome! Both this and the pink LE will generate a lot of new attention and interest in the Zune.  I just wish you had announced the watermelon red (in time for my b-day last Saturday!)

“Zune – The Special Edition Media Player”

While cool and all that( I really want a Halo 3 Zune). My Brother in-law is a dept head a Wal-mart, and he tells me the Zune has been recalled due to lack of sales. I have not seen any Pink Zunes on “Display” at my local Bestbuy, Circuit City, or even Microcenter. So who knows if they even have any? When are we going to see “Zune – Windows Server 2008 Version” or “Zune – Home Server Edition”? I can’t wait for my “Zune – Internet Explorer 8 Edition”. I mean come on, this is getting down right Bad. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Zune, and I am a MS Fanboy, but where is the Firmware Upgrade, Not Patches, but real compelling additions to the software? Something that improves the Zune, not just make it work! Where is the Community? Where are the Developer Blogs? The Beta Program? The Road map? This isn’t a Keyboard! You cannot compete with Apple, if you cannot match their capabilities. Wi-Fi – Broke! Widescreen – No Content!  Zune Media Player – Joke! Every point you guys fly past Apple is crippled. For a company that seems to be following Apple’s Model, You guys sure are doing a bad job of it. I jumped on board the Zune band wagon, the first day I heard of it. And I am completely disappointed.

This is for general consumption, Gamestop is already accepting preorders for the Halo 3 Zunes.

Personally, I think its a step in the right direction. I just hope all the exclusive content on the device can be saved unlike all the pre-loaded content on the regular version (yeah, I tried following Ceasar's instructions and still couldn't save off the 3 videos I wanted).

Tell the marketting team to keep up the good work. We'll never stop all the Zune haters, but maybe we can at least drown a few of them out. :)

OH..anyone know how to tell the difference between Marketplace Pass music on your PC and music that you've added.  I've got a lot of music on my PC now and it's become difficult to tell.  Maybe they should have the music that you bought highlighted.  Hmmm.

I remember reading something about that (how to tell which music is Zune Pass and which is Your Own), maybe it was on this blog.. but anyway, just open the CD Burning part of the Zune software, add all of your tracks, and you'll see that the ones that are Zune Pass Downloads will have a little notice of some kind about not having burn rights. That's how you can tell. Sorry I can't be more specific, I'm working from my memory on this one, and I've never actually had to do that.

Great idea, Im glad to see zune and xbox finally playing together on the marketing end. However im a little disappointed with the color.  Had the color mimicked the xbox 1 limited green shell (that came with halo 2) I would have preordered it with no second thought.  But I know the collectors are going to enjoy this.

Gizmodo has some nice coverage on all the goodies included with the Halo 3 Zune. As I stated on their site, it looks gorgeous and I agree with most of the other commenters in the fact that all Zunes should have box artwork like this one.

Keep up the good work as we are all anxiously awaiting more news on Zune 2.0 and Flashy.
