. . . Was wrong. I read this post about NPD from David's blog. As it turns out, NPD is actually more accurate than folks on this blog (including me) originally thought:
- NPD does not report on Wal-mart or Sam's (we were right about that one).
- NPD *does* report on the Apple online and retail stores - since last year (we were wrong).
- NPD also doesn't report on Amazon (small percentage of the category; we were right about that one).
- NPD data is U.S. only
