Zune and Adult Swim

Last night in NYC, 500 television media buyers, executives and press got a preview of the upcoming Adult Swim content. Except the content - full episodes from new and returning shows; original music; and still photos - came preloaded on a Zune:

We preloaded 500 Zune devices w/ the content, and printed the [adult swim] logo on the front of the device - pictured here.

Read the press release for more info. I'll try to see if anyone took pictures; I'm really curious myself what an Adult Swim party looks like. . .

Wow the zune pr group must be gettting a lot of funding to give away 500 special edition zunes like that! But it's nothing to ms i suppose considering that their profits are up 65% this year!:

Anyway cesar as I asked a couple of days ago, do you have any idea of a europe release date as I am buying a new DMP soon? Even if you were just to say you have no information on that subject would be great rather than just plainly ignoring me.

Brilliant

I'm starting to believe the "1 million Zunes by June" statement if this keeps up.

ray - no details on a euro date yet (sorry!).

JHAirForce05

So what if we already bought Zunes.  Can I get the content?

ray

Thanks cesar, I appreciate you posting that even if it brings no new news. However, I have had a look on ebay and was very pleasantly surprised at the amount of zunes on there. The very weak american dollar has made the zunes way cheaper than comparable devices (excluding the wifi of course) and many of them come with premium zune headphones. 1 euro will now get me $1.36USD which is fantastic for buying things from the US. The few people in my school who have zunes got them on ebay too. I will still have to decide whether to wait for zune2.0 or not as there are conflicting reports that it will be out by August. Also the lack of ms tech support would put me off buying on ebay too.

I use my MS points from my 360 to buy music, could it also be possible for the tv shows downloadable to my zune through zune marketplace? To me it sounds realy simple of an idea to have the content be available through zune marketplace, but i imagine it's not so easy (legal issues?)

Now about video downloads via the Zune Marketplace...... ;)

Thefileclerk

ah its good to see that they are finaly coming up with decent ideas for marketing

Paul

So is this a sign that we will start being able to buy Adult Swim content? If so, I will be very happy.

Cesar, have you guys seen this Zude.com service.  I get the feeling they are playing off the "Zune" name.

"We preloaded" the Zunes, and there are no pictures or information, but a link to a press release?

ZuneLady
