I don't where to post this, but I think a new firmwear update for zune should be coming sometime around the XBOX 360 dashbord SPRING update which is gonna be released May 7th. So maybe we'll be getting a SPRING update for zune as well? :D

The Baker

Cesar, when you get back from vacation can you comment on the recently reported story that MS will start selling DRM free music on ZMP?

http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=38783

Sean

This is very random, but if you guys are adding like some small games to the zune. Put the Helicopter game! Here is the link.

TheMan

Umm, yeah i dont think anybody likes these music choices. Not main stream enough. My opinion.

Stefan

Is Cesar on vacation this week?

Sean

Can you put the helicopter game on the zune. The original one tho.

nigthawkz6

oooook...time for the new features talk, to get this thread going :)

Tommy

I want wireless sync and wireless marketplace soon!

ipodkilla

ya dude, let's get some codec support like wav and divx. I should be fine. Any thoughts, admin?

Eric

Any updates on...anything at all any time soon? It's almost Friday again ;)

Keith

If you want some free videos to test out your Zune, you can find some at Save the Colors. There is no cost, registration or anything like that involved.

For example: Around the Services from the Pentagon Channel (about 5 minutes long) on Page 1 (www.savethecolors.com) and in my Just for Fun section, the Hillary 1984 spoof ad (www.savethecolors.com/justforfun.html). Longer videos are available on the Zunecasts page (www.savethecolors.com/nunecasts.html). Some of these are films from the 60's converted to video.

Please pass this along to anyone you might think interested.

Regards,

Keith

Jonathan

Where are the updtaes for the Zune, is one being worked on, just curious.

pinksage

nakliyat

Pink zune released today Friday the 13th! This is weeks before Cesar said it would be.

WES PALM BEECH

No updates Ceaser? No posts for the past week? Got something big going on? Warketplace coming to the Zune finally? Integrated Pocast aggregator? Getting reading for the flash based Zune? Or is it that the new slimmer Zune has all your time tied up?

Sean

This is odd Cesar has been quiet for a whole week.

Maybe this is something big happening to the Zune.

Nick

Cesar, any comments on the Zune 2.0 stories all over the net? Or why the Pink Zune is available weeks early?

Paul

You use Indian call centers, right?  I am having a problem with my Zune and am currently on the hone with someone who does not seem to know what he is doing (well, I am on hold so that he can cunsult with his supervisor).  Basically, all he did was point to all the help files I already viewed.

I am unimpressed.

Copper zune

NEW COLOR!

Theres going to be a copper one....i guaranteee it!!!

Ricardo Dawkins

Cesar, your blog is stagnant.

please, next time. Paid somebody to update the damn blog.

Your blog looks like the 1.2 version Zune before the 1.3 update.

To person above me

^^^^ from west palm beach huh me to. nice!!!

Paul

Somthing is wrong with my Zune. Despite the fact that it is still under warranty, there is nothing I can do about it because my mother-in-law who gave me the device no longer has the receipt.

My wife had problems with her iPod. They did the service under the warranty without receipt (another gift from her mother).

If I cannot get service under the warranty, I will NEVER get another Zune again.

- Paul (a very disgruntled formerly happy Zune user)

Adam

Haha, no update on 4-20...

I feel you, I'm taking the day off too :)

s

I really hope the patch that was just released was not all they have been working on beacuse it's 5 months now, without any NEW features. I cant imagine waiting another 5 months for another firmware update. Hey Ceser, how about giving us something similar to the xbox update video that was released recently.

BlackOps

..he's on vacation.. that = no posts

Morgan

In case you're interested, here's another great resources for free mp3s...

www.salon.com/audiofile

They have a free mp3 every day, often some really great tracks.

Sri

http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight

"... Silverlight will work across a variety of platforms and will plug into Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Safari browsers, and will run on systems ranging from desktop PCs to <<<Zune MP3 players>>> and mobile phones..."

I wish for a Zune based, web streaminmg of Video/Audio over the WiFi. or even a light-weight browser mainly focusing on SilverLight.

Jatin

seems like marketing is too busy and don't have anything to post.

TheMan - Zune Deepfish

Sri, Well spotted, and it has just occured how that mobile web-browsing software microsoft made availible would work perfectly. http://labs.live.com/deepfish There is NO EXCUSE for this not being made availible on the zune, little coding required as it is already out there running on mobiles everywhere.

pinksage

@ Deepfish:

There is an excuse. Price. Software and Labor= higher product cost= more money coming out of your  pockets.

deepfish

Not really, the software is built and the labour is done, it was a free download from the site not so long ago. Can't remember ever paying for internet explorer, so why shoud this be any different.
