the new firmware will let you use the zune as a external hdd right? if not im returning this and getting an ipod very disappointed that i cant use this as en external hdd and on other hand on a ipod you can. hopefully they fix this problem

err at least letting you partitioning a 4gb off so you could copy date to the Zune device without breaking the law. I think this is very easy, all they have to do is make a change to the registry for the Zune firmware to allow this to happen. It's kinda sad when you have to hack it to get it to do what other players would normally do.

Is the firmware release tomorrow on track or everyone on the Zune team is still drunk ?

Ey, Cesar. Friday have come and gone. Today is Monday and tomorrow is March 20. is the firmware on track ?

Cesar, what time tommorrow can we expect the update?  Does the fix for the skipping problem require redownloading songs?  Finally, was the work you did on this "fix" release done in parallel with "new stuff" development or did you have to stop work to get these fixes out?

I thought Cesar had announced March 19th. Where is it? :)

I actually estimated the update was coming out tomorrow - but I might have had it wrong :(  let me check

lol, haven't you noticed they're never sure! The product manager of Zune was asked by Scoble, what resolution the Zune had. The tool said "uhhhh...let me check....I'm not sure the specifics of that."
