Greetings from Indie Rock Spring Break! I'm in between going to Gonna Get Down 2 (brought to you by Austinist, Gothamist, and Gorilla Vs Bear) and the Fader Fort and thought I'd check in. Here's a picture of Sparrow House playing at Gonna Get Down:

The highlight of my day (so far) was Austin Mayor Will Wynn on stage between Earl Greyhound's set.
Mayor Wynn says there are three keys to keeping Austin the music capitol of the world:
- Austin needs to have lots of venues within walking distance, so folks can go to
- Austin needs to find a way to support its working musicians (and there are thousands), many of whom lack access to healthcare and other services.
- People need to turn off the TV and go see live music.
Not being from here, it doesn't so much apply to me, but I did find it interesting.
