Zune (Swag) at SXSW

As you might recall - some Zune staffers and I are going to SXSW this year. If you're in the Austin area, let me know - I'll see about getting you on the list for some of the parties that Zune is throwing there. No promises, though; when a venue is full, a venue is full. When I'm down there, I'll try to get into as many shows as I can - and I'll post the photos and recaps as often as I can. Who needs sleep anyways?

Alternately, we can meet up for some Texas BBQ. Drop me an email - contact info below, after the jump. I'll leave you with a picture of some premium Zune-branded earplugs we'll be giving out to select folks at SXSW (my pink zune not included):

See you down there!

South by Southwest concert? Awesome! It's too bad that I live all the way in Houston. (which isn't really too bad, since the Houston Rodeo is going on right now). It sounds like fun. Good luck.

I'm in the Zune Masters program and I'll be at SXSW. The first showcase I plan on attending is the wednesday night one with NME and Zune at Stubb's.

So, I guess I'll be seeing you around Austin at some point during SXSW!

Off topic alert - I just noticed a "new this week" playlist in Zune Marketplace - awesome!!  I heard about you guys asking Pitchfork for a partnership previously, but there's really no need as long as you can provide some insight into what's new and good with playlists such as this one.  Great job!!!

For those of you interested, there is a interview with Zune's David Caulton on Twit.tv (http://www.twit.tv/ww17).  Although it talks alot about the music business in general I found it somewhat reassuring about Microsoft's intentions and gave some insight as to how Zune got started..in a Dance Studio! lol

On another note, most of you have probably seen the PS Home demo.  Its really quite cool I think.  Did anyone else catch that you can supposedly share content (music/etc) via this virtual "Social" environment?  It also adds a new dimension to content "Dicovery". Just sayin that these sort of things fit very nicely with the key aspects of Zune. :)

Thanks, John - I posted that a few min. ago here http://zuneinsider.com/archive/2007/03/09/david-caulton-on-twit.aspx

I wasn't around at that time - I came on around May of 06.
