Zune Goes to the Grammy Awards

I'm jealous excited for my buddy Richard, who along with some other folks on the Zune team, is going to the Grammys. You'll see this picture in a few press photos; we're throwing an after-party with Warner Music Group:

(in other words, someone went to the Grammy's and all I got was this jpeg;)

ummm...cesar, you were supposed to write a blog post about rumor and speculation about the new zune phone rumors and how we should take it with a grain of salt...LOL.  Maybe there is some truth to that story then. Only problem is WiMax is like 2-3 years away from deployment and the story has the zune phone dropping in May.  Come on...stop playing with our emotions...lol.

SU, I already wrote about the ZunePhone: http://zuneinsider.com/archive/2007/02/01/the-official-word-on-a-zune-phone.aspx

yes yes, you got it right (you've been a reader from day one). . . take the rumors/speculation w/ a grain of salt ;)

Diego

Maybe they don't tell the marketing guys like Cesar about the new phone.  Especially one who has a blog.

If not a phone, what are you guys working on?

They are working on firmware updates for the current Zune. ;)

New Zune Owner with Vista Ultimate

Off topic - please update your web site zune.net with instructions for Vista owners. I tried to download and install the software and kept getting "Operating System not supported" errors.

When I called tech support they told me I needed to save the software to my desktop - right click and set compatibility mode to XP SP2 and also check the "run as administrator" box.

This information should be ON the web site near the download link.

Albert

Will we see any more of Zune this Sunday? I might just watch the Grammys if there will be.

Justin Ng

I'm running Vista Ultimate and installed the software from zune.net without needing to "run as administrator" or set XP compatibility.  In fact I've installed it on three Vista Ultimate computers (two x64 and one x86) without incident.

New Zune Owner with Vista Ultimate

really Justin, that is strange... Maybe they have some links which are not updated and are pointing to the old software.  My Zune was one of the originals - not sure if this has any meaning.

Regardless all is well and I am enjoying my brown Zune!

I love it how every one stays on topic. :P

pink, these offtopics are what are keeping me here :)

Let me help.

Where is the Zune Video Marketplace!?

I mean...

Did anyone see the Grammy Awards? Any Zune sightings?
