i picked the brown one. like it alot, most of the people i show it to, the color is a hit or miss.

though my zune is starting to come apart, so i might check out the white one when i get it swapped.

At first I wanted the white Zune but then I noticed that the center controls were black and I thought it detracted from the look. Those should have been white as well. I settled on the black and I am glad I did since the FM transceiver is black as well. lol.

When do we get video in the marketplace??? And how come my Zune software totally botches album artwork and gets my podcast graphics all weird? Any tips appreciated guys and gals.

Also, when will Major Nelson's blogcast be available on the marketplace??? hahahaha!

i liked all of them, i thought the brown was cool and different and the white was a little ipod-like but still cool, though i was most likely going to get the black one, but since i won the zune on engadget (thanks) i didnt have a choice (i'm not complaining cause i was and still am very happy i won). in the end you guys sent me a white one. its all good though, it looks way better in person, i like the see through edges, deffinitely better looking than i was expecting, thanks. by the way the zune is freakin rediculous, and my brother wants one now to go along with his 360. thanks for the free zune.

I bought the brown one since it is different than the iPod's black and white and I am a fan of the color brown. I think the green highlight is very nice as well and everyone that I have showed it to has been very impressed with the color and caressability of the device.

I got a Brown one. I liked the black one too but decided to go with Brown because I thought it was more classy.

Just like Rob, I seriously considered brown but went for the black. Mostly because of the blue tint, or as others have referred to the color as... squid ink.

I was thinking about the brown one but chose black.  Actually Walmart chose for me.  They only had black ones and I didn't want to drive to the next town.

I have two comments.  The first is I really think you should sell video on the Marketplace.  The second is that my girlfriend really likes the Zune but wants a smaller one.  She said she would buy one if there was a smaller one.  Is there going to be a flash version?

I purchased two zunes...a brown one for me and a black one for my son. I love Andes mints and the brown zune with green double shot reminds me of the delicious mints. I even named my zune Andes. My son likes both blue and black colors so his zune covers both.

Two Zunes -- one for my wife and one for me..

She originally was going to get white while I got black, so we had this yin/yang thing going on, but she opted for black once she saw the blue tint.

The brown was sold out so I went with the black. All three colors are good but I wish you had cobalt blue with orange double-shot edge.

I got a black Zune, a universal and safe color..... I noticed in a local Target that most of the Zune were sold out the next day.... Seems like it it doing good....

But what I love about MS is the new downloadable service on Xbox 360....that is like a slap on Apple's face!! I know this news doesn't below here but I wanted to vent it out somewhere.....It didn't make much sense to my wife...

I First wanted the Black zune and then there was so much press coverage over zunes and all of my expectations were wiped out a couple weeks before the release so i bought something else instead of a Zune.

I got a Black Zune and love it! I think that you guys should really take advantage (which is obvious that you guys will) of all of the content you guys will have access to with the Xbox Live Marketplace and do the same with the Zune Marketplace (offer Movies, TV Shows, Videos, etc.).

I know , Zune is not Sexy considering its thickness.  the black&brown colors look dull dont attract at first look. but , once its in your hand its a totally different experience and all these simple shortcomings will not effect one's decision . i am one example for it.

I bought the Black Z . its awesome with blue tint along the borders , when the light falls on it from back. and these colors are slowly growing on me.

Its all smooth sail for me .. from buying @costco .. to sync with my zune softwre on xp . no gotchas.

Zune software is awesome. i was worried after all the reviews floating around on the net. after using it with out a single problems , i realized it must be apple devils behind all the bad propaganda on Zune , trying to poison the minds of the buyers,who read reviews.

all i got to say after my zune purchase is try it once at your near by store and decide.

I never liked iPod because of iTunes and how clunky it is. Been playing arround with the zune software and have to say it needs some tweeks, but I still like it over iTunes.

When I went to preorder mine I didn't even think of what color I wanted. The guy asked me and I couldn't decide. I said black. Then I saw a display at walmart, the brown one amazed me. Brown alone would fail. But with the green, it's the best. I wish I could have changed my preorder.

Now the question is... If I was risky and careful, could I take the case off of a brown zune, and put it on a black one. Making the black one black with green highlights?

Bringing me to a good idea. Changeable cases for the zunes. You could have ones like they are now, with a semitransparent color. And you could have opaque solid colors. Or you could have specially made designs. It would add an added layer of customization.

Whats up with the Pink?? Would buy it in a flash if it were avail in pink. I heard they were given as gifts to ms epmloyees, but on ebay I saw two for sale that claimed they were hidden in white zune boxes as limited editons of 100, and they had photos of the actual certificate. Any comments????

I picked up black because it looks better in a protection skin. If I were to get a Zune without a skin it would have been the brown one.

I got a "double shot" of two browns.  The mochaesque color is the "in" color of modern design and fashion, and definitely a great differentiator from the ubiquitous colors of other consumer electronics on the market.

Hmmm I'm thinking about getting the brown one or maybe the white one. I really can't decide and now I'm even more indecisive since I found a site where they can paint your zune for you. the only minus is that you loose the see through edges.
