Attention LA people - Come to a Zune preview event.

Next Thursday night (11/9), you can come to LA to check out Zune and hang out with some other folks on the Zune team. We'll also have some music there: Jason Bentley and Bitter:Sweet.

Hey Cesar - I was wondering if you guys are planning a preview event in or around Chicago? We at ZuneDoggle.com are dying to check out the Zune and haven't been able to make it out West or to NY for your other events. Regards, ZuneDoggle

Microsoft is giving Universal a cut of Zune sales, according to Reuters. I was considering buying a Zune. Not anymore. I refuse to be an accomplice to this extortion scheme. If enough hardware manufacturers agree to this, it will be impossible to buy any hardware that could play music back without paying a fee to the labels. I would think that Microsoft, with its clout as one of the world's largest companies, would stand up and do the right thing. Oops.
