# October 31, 2006 Matt Jones Hi! I don't know where else to ask these questions so i hope you don't mind! I really want a Zune, as do at least 4 of my friends and colleagues. We want one because the only other real option is an iPod and their software just makes me want to vomit. Now you've (not personally!) delayed teh Euro launch of Zune it kind of forces everyone back it buying the new iPods. Now I am going to Pittsburgh in January - my questions are these: 1) If I buy a Zune in the states, does it work with Media Player 10/11? If it does and I can just use it as a player, I reckon I could possibly live without the extras until Microsoft acknowledge the existence of the rest of the world. 2) Would it be possible to use the US Marketplace or would it be restricted to US residents? If that is a yes then there is no reason for me not to buy one! I don't mean to whine but it took me a long time to stop hating everything Microsoft did, I genuinely love some of the things you have done with Live, Media Player and the new Office so to have you turn around and pull a Sony on me has put my nose put of joint a bit! lol. keep up the great blog.
