Attention Seattleites: See Zune in Person

Tonight, I'm going to try something a little different. I'm taking my beta, pre-release Zune out in public, and I'd love for other Seattle folks to come see it. So, if you're in the area, come to the Souped Up Cafe, 7900 E Green Lake Dr N, tonight, at 6:30 PM.

It looks like this on the inside:

I'll be there, Zune in hand. You can get yourself some soup, and talk about Zune. Hope to see you there. Yes, you. And you.

Oh and the next time I do one of these flash mob-ish things, I'll give more advanced notice.

Its times like these when I really wished I lived in Seattle...

Luke

Any chance you want to bring to Zune to show off in England Cesar?!

Ben

Oh yeah, one more question, will there be anything on the Zune at the digital life convention in new york city?

itsgreen

yeah about that... when do you come to The Netherlands? :P

Man if only a few thousand miles wasn't inbetween me and seattle.... btw, Seattle is a really awesome city. I took the underground tour when we were in Washington. Plus they had a great REAL pizza place. ( not sure why they had new york pizza place in Seattle, but I loved it anyways ) Any tourists going to Seattle I definately recommend the tour. oh and Ceasar, not sure how many people live in Seattle that read this, but if you are expecting more than ANTHING more than 5-10 people I would bring more than one zune to show off. ( or plug it up to a tv and show off those a/v cables. )

How cool! Just down the street from my house, I'll be there!

Come to New York!

Charlie

Cesar your breaking my heart(I live in Chicago)...I want to get my hands on a Zune so badly. -Charlie

Brian

Heck, that's just a short distance from where I live. I'll stop by on my way home from work.

Matt

Dude, I'll be there with my camera. I'm hoping photographs and video will be ok? Make it pretty.

Brent

Damn, I want to live in Seatle (and work for Microsoft someday). Anyway, I'm sat up at 11:45pm here in the UK. I have to be up at 6:30am and I find myself relaxing to some chillout music. I often listen to a track called Dead Already by Thomas Newman (one from American Beauty). Listen to it if you haven't already. Here's the deal, I listen to this song so often and love it so much, that if the Zune plays this song well (so I can bare listening to it on a portable device while on my 2hr journey to work), I'll donate a $20 to the charity of your choice (Cesar's choice). I know it's not much, but it's all I can really afford. You've already won me over with buying the device when it comes out in the UK.

Cesar Menendez

Nah, it's not a media type of event. It's just people hanging out, and I'll have a Zune there. So, no cameras allowed. In other words. . . "no photo! no photo!"

Albert

Well, what about coming to the warm, sunshine state: Oxnard, California? All of us at school would definately appreciate a visitor from Microsoft....lol. Well, posts like these are the ones that continue making me jealous of all of the Microsofties and anybody who lives in the Seattle area. Well, good luck and have fun....without me... :(

It's 5pm now, so too late to get on the road from Vancouver. Would take me 2 hours with no traffic! Next time! Enjoy guys.

**cough** New England **cough** Lemme know if you need someone to pick you up at the airport in Boston, Providence, or Hartford anytime zune... er soon. ;) I gotta say that I'm feeling a little silly getting so impatient over a month and a half ;) Of course I've never owned an iPod or anything. I'd just decided to get into the MP3/PMP thing with a Creative Zen when I started hearing about the Zune. So I returned the Zen and have to wait out =)

Oh man, I'm travelling out of state, otherwise I would DEFINITELY have driven down from Bellingham. Next time Cesar! - Harvey http://www.zunerama.com

Hey Cesar ... thanks for the demo! For those who wanted to be there ... we watched music files transfer in under 20 seconds, very cool. Very nice screen and a smooth UI with some cool innovations -- like the alphabetcial scroll assist thingy is nice. Sturdy design. Pretty much as advertised. I didn't get to listen to anything, though -- I don't think Cesar felt like sharing his ear buds. (Neither would I ...) And great soup!

shravan

Nice. Lucky people!!! What about having a meet in Phx? :)

I hope you do this in Seattle again soon, I just found your blog.

Sportsunit

Wish I could've been there. Nonetheless, it was pretty cool of Caesar to demo the unit for the loyal zune insiders.

Now this is exactly when I just wish that I lived in Washington! :( Maybe next time Cesar. :/ - Lionel http://www.wiredzune.com

Brian Hughes

Bah, man I wish I would have gotten email in my hotel sooner! I was just walking around Seattle during this time when I could have been talking about Zune! :( You care to bring it over to the Vista Beta Conference tomorrow night? :-P Building 41 I believe! ~Brian

Selcouth14

Cesar, when are you guys coming to the east coast? Side note: Will a download of the Zune marketplace software be available prior to the Zune's release? Mmmm soup!
