A few folks have asked about what accessories you get in the box. Here's what's included: A USB Synch Cable; headphones; A soft, micr0-suede-ish pouch (here; I credit Damon Trim - Production Manager on the Zune Design team - for the photographs)

Oh and it comes in 3 colors:

Here are the pouch dimensions:

Thanks for the photos.
love the case. got any photos photos of the included headphones?
Good idea to include that pouch.
Is it an explicit goal of the Zune team to have all the accessories be available in all three colors? For instance, will the VAF speakers be available in brown & white as well?
Overall , the MS's pricing of Zune , made sure that , it killed all the excitement of MS fans who are eagerly waiting for its release , from the device to the subscription services. I had been thro all the zune sites/forums. i haven't seen a single sole , who is excited. most of them are switched their modes to drop or wait N Watch it. with this pricing strategy , I could confirm that MS doesn't have ambitions to penetrate into the market. 1) Device It doesn't have the sexy looks to attract. it all depends on the sales guys thro its channels Only saving grace is WiFi. and how many people want this, gotta see. The best price would be @229 2)Subscription service : every one wants around @9.99 . not @14.99 How many people on this earth (US) would have known about Zune ? how many of them realy excited about it.? how many of the excited fans would have felt down with the pricing strategy. Thanks to MS and Apple , with your competition , all other PMPs will get noticed , and their prices are coming down. In this web world , very few people care about MS , while the whole world is after Apples and Googles. MS is loosing its own people , with out proper strategies .. No one is asking the device/services for free. After all , we the fans , wanted it to be a better device , with better rates than the market leaders. Just worried , how MS will convince the world to buy Zune ..? I hope MS will not become another White Elephant like Apple .
yeah, I really wanted subscriptions to be $10. I currently have a $10 allowance to Itunes ,and it would of been a perfect cross over. Not sure if I could afford the extra $5 a month. Believe it or not, that is alot of money to some people. That is why I loved that xbox live was so affordable and was hoping I would be able to get a subscription for $100 a year of $10 a month.
I think the pouch is quite nice. Personally, I like it better than the included iPod pouch. I think the tag with the logo hanging off is nice. also: synch? you mean sync :)
Yes, Cesar, how are you going to convince people when an iPod is $249 too? Other than WiFi, Zune has practically nothing new to offer, except for the brown color, maybe. And now, it costs as much as the iPod. Songs on Zune marketplace cost as much as those on iTunes do. The subscription service is expensive. Also, Zune doesn't work with PFS. Moreover, there's a very high probability that iPod will continue to exist five years from now. What about Zune? Why would I want to spend $249 on something that MS may discontinue a couple of years from now? The $229 probability would have meant you'd be losing an extra $20 on each Zune but there'd be a higher probability of success. I was excited about Zune a few days back.
I don't know, I've heard some of the same price concerns on our forum, but I think that if you "get" the social aspect of wireless, and like the larger screen, and the FM, the Zune is pretty compelling even at the same price point as the iPod 30GB. Also, I think the subscriptions are a good deal if you plan to have a good selection of music - i.e. more than an album-and-a-half downloaded per month. You could spend much less on a ZunePass than you would paying $.99 per song. So, to me it comes down to... will Microsoft be in this business ten years from now? I look at the Xbox model, and say - - yes. It may not be 100% definite but it feels like a safe bet. - Harvey http://www.zunerama.com
How many songs will you get for the ZunePass?I heard it was unlimited...is that true?
I think also with Xbox...if you can get another few models out to compete with PSP along with connection with the Zune i'm sure you'll easily pull down Sony!
What I cant BELIEVE is the fact that Zune comes without an Adapter to charge it. For that I did have to buy the "adapter" accessory for 30 bucks, making this device way over 280 bucks. I dont know why I should buy it anymore - I was really excited abt Zune, but its pricing and its wierdness have now put me off. I think I am going to wait and watch for a while.... S
So, do I have to pay extra for an A/C adapter? Will it recharge via USB? If not, I'll be disappointed (*), as will any kid who gets one as a present. Also, will the device show up as a removable storage device when I connect it to a PC? If not, *. No Plays for Sure? *. $15 per mo for subscription is too high for DRMed content. (Yahoo pricing is about right.) Pity you don't support that, or Napster to Go, etc.
you know alot of mp3 players ( and cell phones for that matter ) don't come with a wall charger. They only come with a sync cable that doubles as a usb charger. Sad but true.
the 'Feature Wars' the vision:M has more 'features' than the iPod yet...it still hasn't toppled iPod even though its providing more bang for the buck. my guess...when a consumer picks up an iPod and vision:M at the 'same price' they choose...
Thank you very much Cesar. This is the first time I seen this blog post useful and interesting information before other tech blogs. Kudos to you for this one.
i likes the pouch lol
Hey I just realized.... Gray is my favorite Color, why is their a grey pouch but not a grey zune?
"you know alot of mp3 players ( and cell phones for that matter ) don't come with a wall charger. They only come with a sync cable that doubles as a usb charger. Sad but true." Then again, a lot do, the h3xx shipped with a wall charger, USB adapter, headphones, inline remote, microphone, carry case, microfiber cloth, and an external battery pack. All for less than the equivalent iPod model. If you went to the cost of the iPod, you got an LCD display on your remote, and a dock.
The WiFi sharing is ONLY useful if there are other people using Zune... How long will it take to stream a virus from one Zune to another?
I have alot of plays for sure music. I wont be buying a Zune cause it doesnt support MSs PFS standard
Cesar, If Zune comes with wifi standard why it can be used with a pc or laptop? It has Microsoft mobile? thanks!
Cesar, If Zune comes with wifi standard why it can't (oops) be used with a pc or laptop? It has Microsoft mobile? thanks!

I keep hearing "The Zune looks so ugly what was Microsoft thinking!11?!"

What the hell is wrong with you? It looks so much sexier than the iPod. iPods are boring and they scratch way too easily.

The only problem I see is that it doesn't come with an ac adapter.

The Zune rules all of the portable music players yo!!!!!!!!!

Are these in all the zune boxes or ust the 80gb?
