For those of you home during the day (I mean you, college boy ;), Zune will be featured on today's episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show. Airing in Seattle today at 11:00 AM PDT (KING-5), Zune will be featured alongside The Dixie Chicks.

If I'm authorized to post video clips, I will. I know I'm personally not Ellen's target audience, but when I'm ~~playing hookie~~ home sick I try to watch it. Check your local listings.

I can't believe Microsoft have done this. There are some well respected tech blogs and other influential reviewers who want this Zune and they give a bunch of them to middle-aged women who'll probably sell them on anyway. I'm not saying it's good publicity - even though I'm from the UK, I know this show is pretty popular over there - but maybe if they cared a little more about those who are actually likely to buy them, they'd do better.

yeah but remember Microsoft is targeting those who have never heard of the zune. Same way ipod targeted techno-illiterite people, Zune is now trying to target those same people. ( the one day my mom didn't watch Ellen is the day they had something I would actually wanna watch... ) =(

I was sad when I couldn't enter the engadget contest, but this made me sadder... I'll put my money on at least half of that audience not even taking the device out of the box.

LOL those women when nuts. I bet most of them didn't even know what the thing was. Next up Ophra, MS just donate a 50k to her charity and promise to give some Zune's away to here audience and I'm sure she'll take you. LOL.

My wife and her firends went to the Ellen show and are getting the Zune! Although most of the audience might be older... My wife is 32 and all her friends are 26-31. We are totally stoked to get the Zune!
