Support Your Local Hip Hop Scene: Blue Scholars

If you live in Seattle, you're probably familiar w/ Blue Scholars. Saw them at Bumbershoot this year. And the year before.  You might not live here and still know em. Anyways, check this video:

The track has the line "when KEXP was KCMU," which *probably* you only get if you live in Seattle. Love that line.

And what about you? What's your favorite (PG) line from a song? It can be anything; just drop it in the comments. Although if you say "if you wanna be my lova, you gotta get with my friends," you might upset the natives ;)

You can also get a free Blue Scholars MP3 from their label here.

Zuney

This is quite an info-packed site you got here. I assume you're probably a very trusted source too. Mind linking our site to your Zune links section? www.zuney.net and we're called Zuney Where abouts are you from by the way, it wasn't mentioned in your biography. That image looks like a tube, not sure if its the underground in America or London. I live more or less in Central London, commute via the tube to places regularly. Hopefully the Zune products will hit Lodnon nice and early :). We'll be carrying out some hands-on reviews, and as you may or may not have noticed, a giveaway of the flagship Zune product. Can you confirm that the flagship version of the Zune is in fact a 60gb version? :) Thanks.

Cooper

He Cesar, Is the Zune really not going to have video on launch? http://www.macsimumnews.com/index.php/archive/zune_already_problematic_the_ipod_killer_wont_offer_video_at_launch/ Also feel free to swing an invite to launch party for zuneinfo ;) Thanks mate, and would love to know more info about this video option.

Ryan

True true, Seattle loves their Blue Scholars. Your video isn't working...at least not for me. I wanna check out this video

Bill

"Your video isn't working..." That's because you can't watch video on your favourite palyer. "Zuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuune. You can only listen to your tune." MS This movie works though. Wonder who this is? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zEQhhaJsU4 Oh, it's the selfprocalimed lead innovator of Microsoft, CEO Steve Balmer himself. It's a shame we won't be able to take one of these with us on Zune.

Ryan - Check out the video directly on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wN10msgz88&eurl= I'm doing a separate post on the video thing.

We know, Cesar, it's a whole family of products... eventually video will be supported. It's about the whole family...

You totally scared me there: "I saw them at Bumbershoot this year". I thought I had missed Bumbershoot! Then I clicked the link & it took to me Sasquatch. Phew! Blue Scholars are great, saw them live @ UW w/ Mos Def, then grabbed their CD at Easy Street. It's awesome they got a gig at Bumbershoot.

Cesar - thanks for writing about Blue Scholars. They have a Showbox show coming up Wed Nov 22. Hit me up via www.masslinemedia.com or www.bluescholars.com if you want to get on the guest list.

David
